THE TAITA LAND COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the registered office of the company, 27 Panama Street, Wellington, on Thursday, the 6th day of October, 1910, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and the property disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator; and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator shall be disposed of.

MARERETU ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Mareretu Road Board to take land for the purposes of a public road through Sections 182E and 38N, Parish of Mareretu, Blocks III and IV, Matakoho Survey District, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908.
Plans of the said land proposed to be taken are open for inspection at the residence of the undersigned.
All persons affected thereby shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, send their objections in writing to the Mareretu Road Board within forty days from the first publication of this notice.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council have caused a plan to be prepared showing the lands which it requires to be taken under the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purpose of a perpetual right of way and easement to lay down thereon or thereunder a water-main to conduct water from the Waiarohia River from the point shown on such plan along the line coloured red on said plan, being part of Allotment 70, Parish of Whangarei, containing 2 roods 13 perches, the water so conducted to be used for pumping-power in connection with the drainage-works now being carried out in the Borough of Whangarei. And notice is hereby also given that the Whangarei Borough Council has caused the said plan to be deposited at the office of the said Council, situate in Bank Street, Whangarei, where the same may be inspected by all persons at all reasonable hours. And the said Council hereby calls upon all persons affected to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the day of the first publication of this notice, to the office of the said Council.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE WATER-SUPPLY ACT AMENDMENT ACT, 1908.
THE Featherston County Council have, by special order made on the 12th day of August, 1910, and confirmed on the 9th day of September, 1910, appointed Mr. FARQUAR McLEOD, Settler, Martinborough, to be a Managing Ratepayer of the Dry River Water-race District, in place of Mr. Thomas Kennedy, resigned.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a General Meeting of the members of the above Company will be held at 106 Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, Auckland, on Friday, the 30th day of September, at half past two in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before the company showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquidator thereof, shall be disposed of.
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a General Meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at 106 Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, Auckland, on Friday, the 30th day of September, at half past two in the afternoon, for the purpose of considering, and, if though fit, passing, the following resolution:—
“That the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof be retained in the possession of Stanley George Chambers for the period of one year, and at the expiry of that period be destroyed.”

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held at the registered office of the company, Breakwater Road, Auckland, on Friday, the 21st day of January, 1910, due notice whereof having already been given, the following resolution was passed as an extraordinary resolution:—
“That whereas the company has proved to its satisfaction that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, it is advisable to wind up the same, and that SYDNEY BRITTAIN BULL, of Auckland, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”
