Act, 1908, for a certain public work, to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block II, Hapuakohe Survey District:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the twenty-seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and ten, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Amended Regulation under the State Fire Insurance Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of September, 1910.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and five, and published in the Gazette of the first day of June then instant, regulations were made, under section forty-eight of the State Fire Insurance Act, 1903, providing, inter alia, for fidelity guarantee bonds of the staff of the State Fire Insurance Office: And whereas it is expedient to alter such regulation as hereinafter appears:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section forty-five of the State Fire Insurance Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion doth hereby revoke regulation thirteen of the above-recited regulations, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

FIDELITY GUARANTEE BONDS OF STAFF.

(13.) IN the case of every officer of the permanent staff whose fidelity is not guaranteed under Part III of the Civil Service Act, 1908, his fidelity shall be assured in some public insurance company transacting business in New Zealand for the amount hereinafter set opposite to the description of the office held by him.

Authorizing the Exchange of a Portion of a Reserve in Canterbury Land District for other Land.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of September, 1910.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto forms part of a reserve heretofore duly set apart for the purposes of an industrial school: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said land for that described in the second column of the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the twelfth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the said land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Description of Portion of Reserve authorized to be exchanged. Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being part of Reserve 1636 in red, situated in Block II, Leeston Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Reserve 1040, 1000 links; towards the south-east by a line bearing 253° 15′ 55″, 500 links; towards the south-west by a line bearing 343° 15′ 55″, 1000 links; and towards the north-west by the southern side of the Great South Road, bearing 73° 15′ 55″, 500 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1910/1555A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being part of Reserve 1636 in red, situated in Block II, Leeston Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the Aylesbury-Burnham Road at a point distant 5163·3 links south-easterly from the north-west corner of Reserve 1636; towards the north-west by a line bearing 62° 10′ 20″, 1000 links; towards the north-east by a line bearing 152° 10′, 500 links; towards the south-east by a line bearing 242° 10′ 20″, 1000 links, the same being the northern boundary of a 1-chain road; and towards the south-west by the north-east side of Aylesbury-Burnham Road, bearing 332° 10′, 500 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages, more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1910/1555B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
