District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for
a site for a public library and mechanics’ institute.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 16 perches, more or less, being Section
No. 71, Block X, Mangamuka Survey District (Kohukohu
Township). Commencing at a peg marked “IV,” 833940
links north, and 550818·6 links west, of Mount Eden ;
bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 30 links
wide, bearing 110° 56′, 100 links ; towards the south-east
by line bearing 200° 56′, 100 links ; towards the south-west
by a line bearing 290° 56′, 100 links ; and towards the north-
west by a line bearing 20° 56′, 100 links, to the point of
commencement : be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages
more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. 7433/1, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twentieth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and ten.

Land temporarily reserved for a Public Recreation-ground
in the Auckland Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first
section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron
Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve
from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described
in the Schedule hereunder written, for a public recreation-
ground.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 7 perches, more or less,
being Section 20, Plumer Hamlet, situated in the Parish of
Waipareira (Block II, Titirangi Survey District). Bounded
towards the north-east by Lot 28 of Section 7, Waipareira
Parish ; towards the east generally by Section 1, Plumer
Hamlet, the abutment of a public road, and by Section 2
of Plumer Hamlet aforesaid ; towards the south-west by
Lot 31 of Section 7, Parish of Waipareira, and towards the
west generally by the Opanuku Stream : as the same is
delineated on the plan marked L. 1111/21, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon edged red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twentieth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and ten.

Regulations under Part VIII of the Land Act, 1908.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and sixty-nine
of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from
time to time make regulations for any of the purposes
enumerated therein ; And whereas it is expedient to
amend the regulations heretofore made under the said Act
dated the nineteenth day of February, one thousand nine
hundred and nine, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the twenty-fifth idem, by making additional
regulations for the several purposes hereinafter set forth :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby make
the following regulations, and declare that such regula-
tions shall come into force on the day of the publication
thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

REGULATIONS.
3A. ALL land applied for other than whole sections shall
be marked out by erecting and maintaining at each angle
a post not less than 3 in. in diameter and standing not
less than 3 ft. above the surface of the ground, and by
L trenches not less than 6 in. deep, 10 in. wide, and 5 ft.
long.
4A. A copy of every application shall be posted at each
corner of the land applied for, and maintained by the
applicant for at least fourteen days before the application
can be considered by the Land Board.

this twentieth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and ten.

Trustees for the Swinburn Public Cemetery appointed.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries
Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Isling-
ton, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint
ROBERT WITTON GLENDINNING,
NEIL FLETCHER, and
JOHN DURWARD
to be Trustees, in the place of Samuel Harris, John Fletcher,
and Robert Logan, resigned, to provide for the mainten-
ance and care of the Swinburn Public Cemetery, in con-
junction with Alexander Pearson and Robert Scott, M.P.,
previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twentieth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and ten.

Infants’ and Invalids’ Foods.
———
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS foods composed of milk-albumen, or of
milk-albumen in combination with casein or with
malted or unmalted ground grain, are imported into New
Zealand, and are articles which, in the opinion of the
Minister of Customs, possess such properties that they
can be used for purposes similar to those for which in-
fants’ and invalids’ farinaceous foods are used, the said
infants’ and invalids’ foods being free of duty under the
Customs Duties Act, 1908 :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authority conferred upon me by section sixty-six of the
Customs Law Act, 1908, do hereby direct that foods com-
posed of milk-albumen, or milk-albumen in combination
with casein or with malted or unmalted ground grain,
being infants’ and invalids’ foods, shall be admitted into
New Zealand free of duties of Customs.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-second day of August, one thousand
nine hundred and ten.
