Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XIII, Arapawa Survey District, Sounds County, for Road Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in Block XIII, Arapawa Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Port Underwood, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Koriniti, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Examination of Live-stock for Export to Australia.—Notice No. 1420.
Department of Agriculture, Commerce, and Tourists,
Wellington, 25th July, 1910.
IT is hereby notified for general information that in the case of horses, dogs, or other animals intended for export from any New Zealand port to Australia, not less than twenty-four hours’ notice of the intention to ship such animals must be given at the office of the Department of Agriculture, Commerce, and Tourists at the port of shipment. Also that such animals must be held ready for examination by the Department’s Veterinarian, at a convenient place, not less than four hours before the advertised time of the steamer’s sailing. Unless these requirements are observed, the Department will not be responsible for the examination of and the granting of certificates for such animals, as required by the Australian regulations.

NOTICE.—HERBERT EDWARD SANDFORD, Esquire, of the City of Sheffield, in the County of York, England, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature, England, has this day been appointed by His Honour Mr. Justice Williams a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in England under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.
