Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a public hall and library.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 17, Block I, Town of Owhango. Bounded towards the north-west by the Waimarino-Taumarunui Road; towards the north-east by Section No. 16, Block I, Town of Owhango; towards the south-east by Section No. 8 of said Block I; and towards the south-west by Section No. 18 of Block I aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 8207/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-second day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Land temporarily reserved for a Site for Council Offices of the Ohura County Council in the Town of Mangaroa, Taranaki Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 10, Block IX, Town of Mangaroa. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by Crown land, towards the south-west by the Ohura Road, and towards the north-west by Section No. 9, Block IX, Town of Mangaroa; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5383/1D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-second day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Removing Restrictions against Alienation of Native Land

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of “The Maori Land Laws Amendment Act, 1903,” it is enacted that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act, or in any Crown grant or other instrument of title, the Governor may, on the recommendation of the Board, remove any restriction on the alienation of land owned by Maoris: Provided that the decision of the Governor on any recommendation of the Board shall be given within six months from the date of the receipt of such recommendation:

And whereas the Aotea District Maori Land Board, by a recommendation made and passed by the said Board on the second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and received on the eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine, recommended the Governor to remove and revoke the restrictions against alienation contained in the instrument of title of the block of land particularised and set out in the Schedule hereto, so far as to enable the same to be mortgaged to a lending Department of the Government:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon and vested in me by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities me thereunto enabling, and in accordance with the recommendation of the Aotea District Maori Land Board aforesaid, do hereby remove and revoke the restrictions now existing against the alienation of the said land, so as to permit the same to be mortgaged as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Hautapu Survey District, containing 297 acres 3 roods 5 perches, more or less, known as Awarua 4c No. 9c, and comprised in an exchange order of the Native Land Court dated the 23rd day of March, 1907, subject to the restriction that the land comprised therein shall be inalienable.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eleventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Te Ahuaturanga Block in Favour of a Sale to His Majesty the King only.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourteenth section of “The Native Land Purchases Act, 1892,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, for the purposes of a sale to His Majesty the King only, remove the restrictions on alienation contained in the Crown grant of Te Ahuaturanga Block (Section 200, Block VIII, Woodville Survey District), situated in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Notice of Entry into Negotiations for Acquisition of Native Lands by His Majesty.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of “The Native Land Purchases Act, 1892” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is hereby notified that negotiations by His Majesty the King for the purchase or acquirement of the Te Ahuaturanga Block, otherwise known as Section 200, Block VIII, Woodville Survey District, and situated in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, have been entered into since the passing of the said Act, and are still subsisting; and notice is hereby further given that, from and after the date of the publication hereof, it shall not be lawful for any person other than His Majesty to purchase or acquire from the owners thereof any right, title, share, or interest in the lands mentioned above unless and until this notice shall have been formally withdrawn under the provisions aforesaid.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten.
