Altitude, about 5 ft. above sea-level. Flat land, covered with manuka scrub; inferior sandy soil, on sandstone formation; indifferently watered by lagoon or swamp water. Situated on eastern shore of Tauranga Harbour, fronting the Bay of Plenty. Half a mile by water across Tauranga Harbour from Tauranga Post-office, thence two miles and a half by road to the section.

TAURANGA COUNTY.—TE PUNA PARISH.

Altitude, 600 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to broken land, covered with fern and scrub; soil of a sandy nature, but of fair quality, on sandstone formation; well watered. Distant about seven miles from Te Puna Post-office, four miles of which is coach-road and three miles rough formed road (Whakamarama Road).

Opening Lands in Westland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the nineteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and ten, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Altitude, from 100 ft. to 150 ft. above sea-level. All heavy mixed bush of rimu and kahikatea, with some silver-pine. All level pastoral land. Soil generally good, but sometimes wet and peaty in places. Well watered. Situated on the Main South Road, about nine miles and a half from Ross, and adjacent to Ferguson’s Post and Telephone Office.

Second-class Land.

Altitude, from 100 ft. to 150 ft. above sea-level. About 60 acres light bush, and remainder heavy bush of rimu and kahikatea, with some silver-pine. Soil fair, but wet and peaty in parts. All level pastoral land. Well watered. Situated on the left bank of the Waitaha River, about thirteen miles from Ross by Main South Road (twelve miles) and partly formed road (one mile). Ferguson’s Post and Telephone Office is within about two miles of the section.

Altitude, 100 ft. above sea-level. All level pastoral land, covered with mixed bush of rimu and kahikatea, with some silver-pine. Soil generally good, but wet and peaty in parts. Well watered. Situated on the left bank of the Waitaha River near its mouth, about fourteen miles from Ross by Main South Road (twelve miles) and partly formed road (two miles). Ferguson’s Post and Telephone Office is within about three miles of the section.

The successful applicant for this section will be entitled to a lease, under section 130 of “The Land Act, 1908,” over 104 acres of river-bed land adjoining, at a rental of £5 per annum.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-second day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Notifying Lands in Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and ten, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
