Land in Block VIII, Rangiora Survey District, taken for
the Ashley River Protective Works.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the powers conferred
by the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act,
1908, for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a
protective embankment and drainage-works on the north
bank of the Ashley River:
And whereas the Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board has laid
before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map,
and also the statutory declaration, as required by the
Public Works Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me
by the above-mentioned enactments, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the protective embank-
ment and drainage-works aforesaid, and shall vest in the
Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board as from the date hereinafter
specified; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall
take effect on and after the eighteenth day of July, one
thousand nine hundred and ten.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as
above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Pro-
vincial District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Honour-
able Sir Robert Stout, Knight Commander of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Chief Justice, Administrator
of the Government in and over His Majesty's
Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies;
and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion,
at the Government House, at Wellington, this
sixteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Railway.

is required to be taken for a further portion of the
Waikaka Branch Railway:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be
observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for
the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and
performed:
Now, therefore, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on
me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public
Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for a further portion of the said railway
hereinbefore specified.

is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work, to wit, for the purposes
of a street in the City of Auckland:
And whereas the Auckland City Council has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and
also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me
by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public
Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for the purposes of the said street, and
shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the
City of Auckland as from the date hereinafter mentioned;
and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall
take effect on and after the thirtieth day of July, one
thousand nine hundred and ten.
