NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership subsisting between WILLIAM SAMUEL HART, of Gisborne, Carpenter, and JOHN HENRY ORMOND, of Gisborne, Coachbuilder, in respect of the working of an invention entitled “The Antarctic Butter and Cream Cooler,” has been dissolved as from the 28th day of February, 1910.

MEDICAL REGISTRATION.
I, HARRY TUDOR NEWLING, Mem. Roy. Col. Surg. Eng. 1900, Lic. Roy. Col. Phys. Lon. 1900, now residing in Clevedon, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 1st day of July, 1910, to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand, and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Auckland.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at 10 Palmerston Buildings, Auckland, on Wednesday, 1st day of June, 1910, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—
RESOLUTION.
That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily. And that Messrs. T. GILLARD and E. G. PINKER be and are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council, on behalf of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, proposes to take, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, the land described in the Schedule hereto for a yard for Corporation stores, to facilitate the use, convenience, and enjoyment of public streets in the City of Christchurch.
And further notice is hereby given that a survey has been made and a plan has been prepared showing the land required to be taken, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such land, so far as they can be ascertained, and a copy of such plan is deposited at the Town Clerk’s Office, situate at the Christchurch City Council Chambers, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours—namely, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, except on Saturdays, when such hours are 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to such works or to the taking of the said land, and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Christchurch City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk, at the office of the said City Council, situate as aforesaid.
Schedule.
All that parcel of land situate in Sydenham Ward of the City of Christchurch, having an approximate area of 25 perches, situate in Block XV, coloured blue on plan marked B; all in the City of Christchurch; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned.

FOR Deaf Children of sound intellect. The pupils are taught to use and understand ordinary speech. The full charge for board and education is £40 a year, but less is accepted from parents who cannot afford to pay this amount. In case of necessity admission is free.
By the Education Act, the education of deaf children between the ages of 7 and 16 is made compulsory. A child is, as a rule, best fitted to begin the school course at about the age of 6, but advice should be obtained as soon as any sign of deafness is observed.
The following classes of deaf children are admitted:—
- Children born deaf, or who have lost their hearing before learning to speak.
- Children who can hear a little, but are too deaf to be taught in an ordinary school.
- Children who have lost their hearing after having learned to speak.
