HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to issue Letters of Naturalisation, under the Aliens Act, 1908, in favour of the undermentioned persons:—

THE following special orders, made by the Point Chevalier Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

POINT CHEVALIER ROAD BOARD.
Loan of £2,000 for the Purpose of a Water-supply.—Special Order authorising Loan.
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by section 15 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Point Chevalier Road District, testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers in the said Point Chevalier Road District the capital values of whose properties as appearing in the valuation roll of the said district is collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did not so consent, the Point Chevalier Road Board hereby resolves, by way of special order, as follows: For the purpose of the construction of a water-supply the Point Chevalier Road Board hereby authorises the raising of a loan of £2,000 at 3½ per centum per annum for a period of thirty-six years and a half, and declares that the cost of raising the said loan and the first year’s interest on the loan shall be payable out of the moneys so raised.
The above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 4th day of April, 1910, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Board held on Friday, the 13th day of May, 1910.
The common seal of the Inhabitants of the Point Chevalier Road District was hereto affixed in the presence of—

POINT CHEVALIER ROAD BOARD.
Loan of £2,000 for Purpose of a Water-supply.—Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Point Chevalier Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Point Chevalier Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of entering into a scheme for a water-supply in the district, the said Point Chevalier Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/16d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Point Chevalier Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of August and the 28th day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 4th day of April, 1910, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Board held on Friday, the 13th day of May, 1910.

THE following special orders, made by the Waikohu County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.
A SPECIAL order made by the Waikohu County Council at a special meeting held on the 17th day of September, 1909, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 15th day of October, 1909:—
Resolved, That the prayers of the petition of the ratepayers of the Wharekopae-Tahora Special District be acceded to, and that the Council hereby authorises the raising of a loan of £2,000 for the purpose of widening the present 6 ft. track to a dray-road between P. J. Roberts and E. J. Williams, a distance of 3 miles 20 chains, and widening road from E. J. Williams to the Mutuera River Crossing.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waikohu was hereto affixed in the presence of—

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order made on the 15th day of October, 1909; confirmed on the 24th day of November, 1909.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Waikohu County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for widening the present 6 ft. track to a dray-road between P. J. Roberts and E. J. Williams, a distance of 3 miles 20 chains, and widening road from E. J. Williams to Mutuera River Crossing, the said Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/16d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Wharekopae-Tahora Special-rating District, comprising Wharekopae 1B3, 450 acres, £456; Section 1, Block VI, Ngatapa, 1,090 acres, £2,302; Section 1, Block V, Ngatapa, 1,900 acres, £3,960; Section 1, Block X, Ngatapa, 1,069 acres, £2,284; Section 1, Block IX, Ngatapa, 1,195 acres, £2,500; Section 2, Block IX, Ngatapa, 1,405 acres, £1,880; Section 2, Block XIII, Ngatapa, 776 acres, £1,506; Section 3, Block XIII, Ngatapa, 494 acres, £494; Section 1, Block XIII, Ngatapa, 870 acres, £1,495; Lots 10, 14, 15, Tahora 2, 5,930 acres, £7,268; Lot 9, Tahora 2, 1,760 acres, £2,200; Sections 6, 7, 12, 13, Tahora 2, 7,856 acres, £10,810: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 3½ per cent.
