JUNE 9.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE 1685
Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve
for recreation in the Canterbury Land District described in
the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought
under the operation of and declared to be subject to
the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve
shall hereafter form part of Little River Domain, and be
managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain
by the Little River Domain Board.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods 12·4 perches, more or
less, being part of Section No. 4, Block III, of Reserve 887,
situated in Blocks II, Akaroa, and XIII, Pigeon Bay Survey
Districts, and being the whole of the land comprised in
certificate of title, Vol. 253, folio 234, Canterbury.

Opening Lands in Southland Land District for Sale or Selection.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion
of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred
and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the
lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for
sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of
July, one thousand nine hundred and ten; and also that the
lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option
of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for
occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease;
and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands
shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said
Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be
sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Second-class Land.

The sections are accessible by good metalled road on
southern boundary, and vary in distance from the Hedgehope Railway-station from 50 chains to 1 mile 34 chains.
The land is partly bush and partly open; the bush has no
commercial value, having been cut out by the sawmills. The
open land is partly covered with burnt manuka. The whole
of the land is undulating, and the soil inferior. Height
above sea-level, from 150 ft. to 300 ft. Fairly well watered.
The sections are opened subject to the Hedgehope Sawmilling Company’s tramways rights.

Opening Land in Southland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of July,
one thousand nine hundred and ten, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the
said land shall be leased under and subject to section
one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as it contains,
or is supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Polling-places for Auckland East Electoral District appointed.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the
Legislature Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
abolish the existing polling-places in the Electoral District
of Auckland East, and do hereby appoint the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be polling-places for the
said Electoral District of Auckland East.

vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries
Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
JOHN HENDERSON,
ALEXANDER RATTRAY, and
ANDREW INNIS
to be Trustees, in the place of William Innis, deceased, and
Angus McDonald and Robert Polson, sen., to provide for
the maintenance and care of the Georgetown Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Thomas Lunam King, previously
appointed by His Excellency the Governor.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this second day of June, one thousand nine
