Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street in the Borough of New Plymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land reserved and taken for the purposes of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Borough of New Plymouth, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation :
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said street:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street; and that the said street shall be under the control of the Corporation of the Borough of New Plymouth, and shall be maintained by the said Corporation in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Corporation.
SCHEDULE.
All those parcels of land in the Land District of Taranaki, containing in the aggregate 2 acres 1 rood 27'4 perches, more or less, being portions of railway land at New Plymouth, extending from Leach Street to Baring Terrace, and being

Lots 21, 22, 23, and 24 on Deposited Plan No. 2572, and Lot 25 on Deposited Plan No. 2622, in the Lands Registry Office, at New Plymouth; as the said parcels of land are more particularly shown coloured purple on plan marked W.R. 17155, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owner of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and of the Rodney County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Otamatea and Pakiri Survey Districts described in the Schedule hereto.
ERRATUM.—On page 1644 of New Zealand Gazette, 2nd June, 1910, column 1, last notice, line 2, heading, strike out the word ‘Proposed.'
