UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1908.

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.

To the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Southland Land District, at Invercargill.

Pursuant to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned, John Dillon, of Otama, Farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner’s right: 23rd March, 1910; No. 71411.

Address for service: At the office of Inder and Cochrane, Gore.

Dated at Gore, this 24th day of May, 1910.

Schedule.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: At a point in Old Hut Creek where it enters Section 343, Hokonui, after crossing the Nine-mile Road, and terminating at the residence on the said Section 343.

Pegs marked [□]

Length and intended course of race: 26 chains; south-east.

Points of intake: At head of race.

Estimated time and cost of construction: Two months; £20.

Mean depth and breadth: 3 ft. 6 in. by 8 in.

Number of heads to be diverted: Half-head.

Purpose for which water is to be used: Domestic and irrigation purposes.

Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.

THE DURBAR GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

Notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company held on the 20th day of April, 1910, the subjoined resolution was passed, and confirmed as a special resolution at a subsequent meeting held on the 17th day of May, 1910:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”

At the last-named meeting the undersigned was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.
