Pacific Islands,\nVol. ii, 1908, page 224.\n\nNotice to Mariners No. 57 of 1910.\n\nAUCKLAND HARBOUR.—REMOVAL OF ROCKS, RANGITOTO CHANNEL.\n\nMarine Department,\nWellington, N.Z., 28th May, 1910.\nTHE Auckland Harbour Board have notified that the\npinnacles of rock upon which the s.s. “Kaipara,”\nstruck have been completely removed. Another small\npatch 160 ft. southward of the “ Kaipara ” rock has been\nfound, and the launch “ Kuaka,” properly lighted, has been\nmoored over the spot, and the red buoy which had been\nplaced over the “ Kaipara ” rock has been moved out 160 ft. to\nthe south-east to guard the outer pinnacles. The work of\nremoving this newly found rock was commenced im-\nediately, and it is expected that the work will be completed\nin the course of a week from this date.
