A light-buoy painted black, exhibiting a fixed green light, has been established on the southern side of the entrance in (approximately) latitude 34° 39' 20" S., longitude 58° 03' 31" W.

A pile beacon painted red, exhibiting a fixed red light, has been established on the northern side of the junction of the newly dredged channel with the eastern end of the former outer channel.

HAWAIIAN ISLANDS.

OAHU.—HONOLULU HARBOUR ENTRANCE.—BELL BUOY REPLACED BY GAS BUOY.—On 17th February, 1910, a gas buoy, painted red and marked “Honolulu 2,” showing an intermittent red light every 5 seconds—thus, light 2½ seconds, eclipsed 2½ seconds—was established at the entrance to Honolulu Harbour, Hawaiian Islands, in place of outside entrance bell buoy 0, which was permanently discontinued.

BRITISH COLUMBIA.

VANCOUVER ISLAND.—EAST COAST.—BAYNES SOUND.—PORT AUGUSTA.—GOOSE SPIT.—LIGHT ESTABLISHED.—An unwatched intermittent red acetylene-gas light, visible 7 miles, has been established on the western extremity of Goose Spit, Port Augusta, Baynes Sound, British Columbia, in place of the day beacon previously maintained. The light is exhibited 30 ft. above high water from a steel cylindrical tank, painted red, surmounted by a red pyramidal steel frame supporting the lantern. The old wooden beacon has been taken down.
