hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Onehunga—bounded towards the north by Mount Smart and Mount Albert Roads, towards the east by Section No. 17, Suburbs of Auckland, towards the south by the Manukau Harbour, and towards the west by Section No. 13, Suburbs of Auckland; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Onehunga was hereto set and affixed by order of the Council on the 23rd day of May, 1910, in the presence of—

Special Order made by the Warkworth Town Board.

THE following special order, made by the Warkworth Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

WARKWORTH TOWN BOARD.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Warkworth Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorised to be raised by the Warkworth Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling portions of Hill, Alnwick, Bertram, and Percy Streets, and Wilson, Brown’s, Pulham, and Hepburn Creek Roads, the said Warkworth Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable property of the Warkworth Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be payable yearly on the last Friday in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above special order was made as by law required. It was carried at a meeting of the Board held on the 10th December, 1909, adopted at a special meeting held on the 14th January, 1910, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 18th February, 1910.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Ermedale Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts, as from 31st March, 1910.

ERMEDEALE SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2,752 acres 2 roods 13 perches, more or less, situated in Block XIII, Jacob’s River Hundred, being Sections Nos. 14 to 26 (both inclusive) and interior roads. Commencing at the north-western corner of Section No. 12, in the said block; bounded thence by a line bearing 179° 43′ 20″, 10992·7 links; thence by a line bearing 269° 42′ 30″, 1523·1 links; thence by a line bearing 194° 47′, 103·6 links; thence by a line bearing 179° 38′ 54″, 4137·1 links; thence by a line bearing 205° 22′, 4217 links; thence by a line bearing 269° 38′ 10″, 14474·8 links; thence by a line bearing 359° 35′ 30″, 6583·5 links; thence by a line bearing 89° 42′ 20″, 2859·5 links; thence by a line bearing 359° 44′ 44″, 4775·4 links; thence by a line bearing 89° 43′ 30″, 1717·8 links; thence by a line bearing 359° 43′ 30″, 7704·5 links; thence by a line bearing 89° 46′, 13277·6 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked 19408, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington.
