SCHEDULE A.
LICENSE fee to be paid annually by the owner of any traction-engine as mentioned or defined by section 3 of this by-law :—
(a.) For a traction-engine if and while used only in transporting threshing-machine, chaff-cutting, or saw-bench plant belonging to the person owning or using the said engine, £1;
(b.) For every other traction-engine, £5.

WHEREAS has made application for a license for the following traction-engine, to be used for the purposes hereinafter mentioned on roads within the Courtenay Road Board District, pursuant to the provisions of the by-law relating to traction-engines, that is to say :—

And whereas the issue of such license has been duly authorised by the Road Board of the said district: Now, therefore, I, the Clerk of the said Road Board, by the authority and on behalf of the said Road Board, do hereby license the said traction-engine to be used on roads within the Courtenay Road District for the period of one year from the date hereof, and no longer, except during the whole of the months of June, July, August, and September in the said year, [for all purposes] [for the purposes of transporting threshing-machine, chaff-cutting, or saw-bench plant only], but subject nevertheless to the said by-laws and to such other by-laws as may from time to time be in force within the said road district.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Wairau Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,700, authorised to be raised by the Wairau Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes—

the said Wairau Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/4d. in the pound upon the rateable value of the rateable property of the Wairau Road Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with the Road Boards Act, 1908.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Onehunga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,450, authorised to be raised by the Onehunga Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of laying water-mains along Campbell Road from Royal Oak to Harp of Erin, supplying city abattoirs, extensions to Penrose district, Trafalgar Street, Neilson Street, Willow Street, Captain Springs Road, and sundry works necessary to complete circuit, also hydrants in Queen Street, and providing water-meters, the said Onehunga Borough Council
