making new drains and deepening and improving existing drains within the Frankton Drainage District : And whereas the public notice required by section ninety-seven of the Counties Act, 1908, of the resolution to make a special order to provide interest and other charges on the said loan and of the time and place fixed for the second meeting was duly published in the Waikato Argus, a newspaper circulating in the said district, on the seventh, fourteenth, twenty-first, and twenty-eighth days of April, one thousand nine hundred and ten, but the date fixed for such second meeting was the sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten, so that during the week immediately preceding the said sixth day of May there was no publication of the notice : And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity as aforesaid, and it is expedient to validate the said notification :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and twenty-one of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that such published notification of the said resolution and of the time and place fixed for the said meeting as aforesaid shall be deemed and taken to be as valid as though the said notification had been properly published, and that the proceedings relative to the said loan and the security for the same shall not be questioned on the ground of such irregularity.

Trustees for Te Puia Public Cemetery appointed.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
Names of Trustees. William Painter, Albert Edward Cowley, Charles Henry McCracken, and Arthur Percy Durrant.
Name of Public Cemetery, and Description of Land. TE PUIA. All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Suburban Section No. 136, Te Puia Native Township, Block XVI, Mata Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 130 and 131, 800 links; towards the east by Section No. 135, 500 links; towards the south by Section No. 135, 800 links; towards the west by Section No. 135 and a public road, 500 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1636, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Monday, the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease ; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Undergrowth of supplejack, ferns; all marketable kauri timber has been removed. Soil loam and clay, fair to inferior in quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by streams. Access from Blind Bay, six miles distant by bridle-track.
