Special Orders made by the Patea County Council merging Patea East and Patea West Road Districts.

THE following special orders, made by the Patea County Council, are published for general information.

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order merging Patea East Road District.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31, Counties Act, 1908, the Patea County Council, on the petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the Patea East Road District, resolves, by way of special order, that, on and after the 1st day of July, 1910, the said road district shall be merged in the County of Patea, and the Board thereof abolished.
The above special order was duly passed at a special meeting of the Patea County Council held on Tuesday, 19th April, 1910, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 18th day of May, 1910.
The common seal of the Patea County Council has hereunto been affixed this 18th day of May, 1910, in the presence of--

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the above special order was duly made in accordance with the Counties Act, 1908.

Government Offices not to be closed on King's Birthday.
Office of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington, 26th May, 1910.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been informed by the Secretary of State for the Colonies that it is the pleasure of His Majesty King George V that for the current year there should be no celebration of His Majesty's birthday either in the United Kingdom or elsewhere in the Empire.
The notification dated 11th May instant, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th instant, is accordingly cancelled, and the Government Offices in New Zealand will not be closed on 3rd June, 1910.
