THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

(4.) All the powers of a Judge under Part X of the said Act (relating to persons under disability);
(5.) All the powers of a Judge under section three hundred and ninety-six of the said Act (relating to survey);
(6.) All the powers of a Judge under section twenty-seven to amend any order, warrant, or other document made or issued by such Commissioner, or any record of the proceedings of such Commissioner;
(7.) All the powers of a Judge under sections twenty-two, twenty-eight, thirty, thirty-one, thirty-nine, forty-one, three hundred and ninety-eight, and four hundred and twenty-eight of the said Act;
(8.) All the powers of a Judge which are incidental to the exercise of any of the powers hereby conferred upon a Commissioner: and doth hereby further determine that, in addition to such powers and functions, Helyar Wedderburn Bishop, one of the aforesaid Commissioners, shall possess and may exercise, in respect of Native land in the South Island, the powers and functions of a Judge following, that is to say :—
(9.) To confirm any alienation of such land by a Native;
(10.) To make a recommendation under section two hundred and thirty-two of the said Act;
(11.) To make a recommendation under section four hundred and twenty-five of the said Act.

Wanganui Hospital and Charitable Aid Board declared a Leasing Authority under the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908.

PLUNKET, Governor. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of May, 1910. Present: THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL. WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the fourth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, the Wanganui District Hospital Board was declared to be subject to the provisions of the Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887, as amended by the Public Bodies' Powers Act 1887 Amendment Act, 1891: And whereas by section twenty-three of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, the Wanganui Hospital and Charitable Aid Board (hereinafter termed “the said Board”) is deemed to be the successor of the Wanganui Hospital Board: And whereas the said Board has, in terms of subsection three of section fourteen of the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”) requested that the said Order in Council of the fourth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, may be revoked: And whereas the said Board is a body of persons having power to lease land held in trust, reserved, or set apart for public purposes, and has requested the Governor in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the said Act: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the aforesaid Order in Council of the fourth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, but without prejudice to anything heretofore done thereunder; and, further, in compliance with the aforesaid request of the said Board, and in pursuance and exercise of the above-recited powers, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council as aforesaid, doth hereby order and declare that the said Board is a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

Outram Lagoons to be Sanctuaries for Imported and Native Game.

PLUNKET, Governor. PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported game or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area.

SCHEDULE. ALL that area in the Otago Land District known as the Outram Lagoons, situated partly in the Town District of Outram and partly in Block V, Taieri Survey District. As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this nineteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten. D. BUDDO, Minister of Internal Affairs.

Vaccination District constituted. PLUNKET, Governor. IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Public Health Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing vaccination district known as the Raetihi District, and do declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two vaccination districts, the names whereof shall be the Ohakune District and the Raetihi District, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation bearing date the fifteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and ten, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 38, of the twenty-eighth day of April, page 1291. As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this nineteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten. D. BUDDO, Minister of Public Health.

Appointing a Representative of Bruce County to Otago Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. PLUNKET, Governor. IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fifteenth section of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint HENRY MACLEAN DRIVER to represent the Bruce County on the Otago Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this nineteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten. GEO. FOWLDS. Minister of Hospitals and Charitable Aid.

Trustees of Christchurch Racecourse Reserve appointed. Office of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington, 12th May, 1910. HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint ROBERT HEATON RHODES and GEORGE GOULD to be Trustees of the Christchurch Racecourse Reserve under the Christchurch Racecourse Reserve Act, 1878, vice R. M. Morton, deceased, and J. G. F. Palmer who is absent from the Dominion. D. BUDDO, Minister of Internal Affairs.
