Also all that area proclaimed as a scenic reserve on page 979 of the Gazette No. 26, of the 21st March, 1907, containing by admeasurement 71 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, and being Allotments Nos. 13 to 17, Stanley Estate, situated in the said Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Assigning a Name to a Scenic Reserve.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS under the provisions of the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may assign a name or designation to any district, land area, hill, mountain, forest, &c., or other place or locality whatsoever in New Zealand: And whereas it is desirable to assign names to certain areas of land proclaimed under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1903:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section 2 of the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the area of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, and situate on “Signal Hill,” shall be known as “Burns Park,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such area accordingly; and do also hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on an after the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and ten.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, proclaimed as a scenic reserve on page 441 of the Gazette No. 12, of the 7th February, 1907, containing by admeasurement 209 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 1 of 27, 3 of 27, 65, part of 1 of 29, 2 of 29, 31, 1 of 32, 57, 58; 59, and 66, Block IX, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; Allotment No. 104 and part of 114, Township of Maia; Allotment No. 13; and an unnumbered allotment, Block III, Township of Upper Rothesay.
Also all that area, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 3 roods, more or less, being part of Section No. 1 of 32, Block IX, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), a Scenery Preservation Board is constituted, and it is enacted that such Board shall, when so directed by the Minister of Lands, inspect any lands possessing scenic or historic interest, or on which there are thermal springs, and make inquiries respecting the same, and report to the Governor; and shall from time to time recommend what lands, whether Crown or private, should be permanently reserved as scenic, thermal, or historic reserves: And whereas the said Board was duly directed to inspect and report on the lands described in the Schedule hereunder, and has recommended that the said lands should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereunder shall be a scenic reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and shall be subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
Pounawea Scenic Reserve.
ALL that area of land in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 17 perches, more or less, being Section 82, Block VI, Glenomaru Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 549·8 links; towards the north-east by Section 81, 300 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 371·8 and 597·6 links; and towards the west by part of Section 11, 750 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 45/12, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 504 acres, more or less, being Section 21, Block VIII, Rankleburn Survey District (formerly known as part of Pastoral Run No. 179). Bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-west corner of Section 16, Block VIII, Rankleburn Survey District; thence easterly by the said Section 16 to a public road; thence southerly by the said road to its junction with the Tuapeka Mouth—Beaumont Road, and by the said Tuapeka Mouth—Beaumont Road to the Blackcleugh Burn, a distance of 10425 links approximately; thence westerly and north-westerly by the said Blackcleugh Burn to a point on the said burn approxi-
