Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of a Road through Pukeroa-Hangatiki Nos. 4b and 4d No. 2 Blocks, Block XII, Orahiri Survey District, Waitomo County.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of the Public Works Act, 1908, that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 10th day of February, 1910, duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 18th day of January, 1910.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of Roads through Hauturu East No. 2, Sections 2, 3, and 4, Block XI, Orahiri Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of the Public Works Act, 1908, that the roads described in the Schedule hereto were, on the 14th day of February, 1910, duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 18th day of January, 1910.

Bonus for the Production of Quicksilver.

Mines Department,
Wellington, 14th February, 1910.

NOTICE is hereby given that a bonus of four pence (4d.) per pound will be paid on the production of the first one hundred thousand pounds weight (100,000 lb.) of good marketable retorted quicksilver, free from all impurities, from any mine in New Zealand, on the following conditions, that is to say :—

  1. That at least one-third of the quantity is produced on or before the 31st March, 1911, and the remaining two-thirds on or before the 31st March, 1912.

  2. No bonus will be payable until the whole of the one hundred thousand pounds (100,000 lb.) of quicksilver has been produced as stipulated to the satisfaction of an officer to be appointed by the Minister of Mines, and on whose certificate alone the bonus will be paid.

  3. In the event of more than one person producing the required quantities of quicksilver before the dates named, inquiry will be made by the officer above referred to, when, if it is found that each applicant is equally entitled to a bonus, the amount will be divided in proportion to the quantities produced by each applicant, but in no case shall any bonus be paid until at least one hundred thousand pounds (100,000 lb.) of quicksilver has been produced in the aggregate.

Bonus on Mineral Oil produced in New Zealand.

Wellington, 1st June, 1909.

NOTICE is hereby given that a bonus will be paid for the production of mineral oil under the following conditions :—

  1. A bonus of 3d. per gallon (£6,250) will be paid on the first 500,000 gallons of mineral oil produced in the Dominion of New Zealand. The mineral oil in the refined state to have a specific gravity of 0·814 to 0·830, and a flash point of not less than 83° Fahr. by the Abel closed test.

  2. Notice of intention to claim the aforesaid bonus must be given in writing to the Minister of Mines not later than 31st March, 1912.

  3. The claim must be made before 31st March, 1913.

  4. The first claimant who proves to the satisfaction of the Government that he has fulfilled all the conditions to be the recipient of the bonus.

  5. All conditions as to quantity, quality, priority, and value to be fulfilled to the satisfaction of an officer appointed for the purpose by the Government.

Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II).

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 1 acre, more or less, being Allotment 17, Town of Greerton, in the Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded on the north by Allotment 16, 500 links; on the east by a road, 200 links; on the south by Allotment 18, 500 links; and on the west by Allotment 52, 200 links. The registered owner of the land is Thomas Green, described as a sergeant of the 1st Waikato Militia, who cannot now be traced.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the Dominion :

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II).
