SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 6, Block X, Punakitere Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east, east, and south-east generally by a public road 100 links wide; towards the south by Section No. 11, Block X, Punakitere Survey District; and towards the west by Section No. 3 of the aforesaid block: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5402/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged purple.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Lands temporarily reserved as Endowments for Primary Education in the Nelson Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, as endowments for primary education.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 939 acres, more or less, and being Sections Nos. 9, Block X, and 11, Block VI, Pakawau Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by the road along the left bank of Muddy Creek; towards the north-east by Section No. 12 of the before-mentioned Block VI; towards the south-east generally by the road forming part of the north-west boundaries of Sections Nos. 10 and 11 of the before-mentioned Block X; towards the south-west by the road forming part of the north-east boundary of Section No. 7 of the said Block X, and by part of the north-east boundary of Section No. 8 of the said block; and towards the west generally by the aforesaid Section No. 8 and Section No. 13 of the before-mentioned Block VI: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5390/1g, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 708 acres, more or less, being Section No. 4, Block IV, Howard Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the road, 1 chain wide, along the left bank of the Rainy River; towards the south-east by Section No. 8 of the said block, and a line running across the Main Rainy River Road from the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section to the opposite road-angle; again towards the north-east by the Main Rainy River Road aforesaid; towards the south-east, south, and south-west by Sections Nos. 9 and 10 of the said block; towards the west and north-west generally by Sections Nos. 5 and 3 of the said block, and by a prolongation in a north-easterly direction of the last traverse-line of the last-mentioned boundary to its intersection with the eastern side of the before-mentioned Main Rainy River Road; and towards the south-west by east side of the said road to its junction with the road, 1 chain wide, along the left bank of the Rainy River: excepting a portion of the Main Rainy River Road and Section No. 13 (gravel reserve) of the before-mentioned Block IV, which are included within the above-described boundaries: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5390/1h, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District for other Land.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-two of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land which in his opinion is of approximately equal value, and that all land acquired by the Crown by any such exchange shall become Crown land and be subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto for the land described in the second column of the said Schedule, and the owner of the land described in the second column of the said Schedule has agreed to such exchange:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said section one hundred and forty-two, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the area of land described in the second column of the said Schedule.

Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 4, Block XI, Waimata Survey District; towards the north-east by Waimata West 1A Block; towards the south, south-west, and south-east generally by the Horoeka Stream; and again towards the south-west by said Section No. 4: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. 57146/45, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 3 roods 16 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 11, Block H, Whataupoko No. 9, situated in Block XI, Waimata Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and south-west generally by the Horoeka Stream; towards the north-east by other part of Lot 11, Block H, Whataupoko No. 9, and a public road; and towards the south-east generally by a public road: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. 57146/45, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Opening Lands in Taranaki Land District for Sale or Selection.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and ten; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
