Opening Suburban Land in Nelson Land District for
Selection.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I,
William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the suburban land
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the eighth day of
June, one thousand nine hundred and ten, at the rental
mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that
the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Renewable Lease.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I,
William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the thirteenth day of July,
one thousand nine hundred and ten, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that
the said lands shall be leased under and subject to section
one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as they contain,
or are supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable
stone.

Hilly land, gradually rising to low saddle 1,420 ft. above
sea-level; fair to good soil; well watered. Heavily timbered with red and brown birch, and not much underscrub.
Formation, sandstone and granite. Suitable for pastoral
purposes. Situated about twenty-five miles from Murchison
(via Matakitaki), of which twenty-three miles is a formed
dray-road and two miles unformed track.

150 acres flat terraces, balance easy to steep spurs; the
soil on flats is good and fair on slopes; well watered.
Covered principally with red and brown birch, with a few
scattered white-pines and totara. Underscrub broadleaf,
fivefinger, pepper-tree, fuchsia, and lancewood. Formation
principally granite. Suitable for pastoral purposes. Situated
about twenty-six miles from Murchison (via Matakitaki) of
which twenty-three miles is a formed dray-road and three
miles unformed track.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries
Act, 1908, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
GEORGE STEVENS and
The Rev. FREDERICK HERBERT PETRIE
to be Trustees, in the place of George Thompson, deceased,
and Leonard Wall, left the district, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Porirua Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the Superintendent of the Porirua Mental
Diseases Hospital, John Rod, and John Mexted, previously
appointed by His Excellency the Governor.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and ten.
