Jan. 20.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 249

Run 425c: Situated about twelve miles from Roxburgh, on the upper streams of the Waikaia and Pomahaka Rivers. Broken country, from 2,000 ft. to 5,500 ft. high; all summer country, well grassed and watered. Bad shape, requiring much boundary-fencing. Improvements consist of fencing.

Run 417: Situated on western side of Lake Wakatipu, near Kinloch. Includes parts of Valleys of Greenstone and Capels Rivers and high country surrounding. Height from 1,100 ft. to 6,000 ft. High country, rough and bare, but valleys fairly grassed and sheltered with bush. Improvements consist of fencing.

Runs 418 and 431 (grouped): Situated on the Greenstone River, about ten miles from Lake Wakatipu (Elfin Bay Wharf) by bridle-track. Includes Greenstone Valley, 1,500 ft. to 2,200 ft., and Livingstone Range, rising to 6,000 ft. Suitable as a cattle run, there being plenty of bush, while there is fair feed in the valley. Well watered. No improvements.

Run 206E: Situated about seven miles from Waipiata by good coach-road. Undulating to rough mountain country, from 1,500 ft. to 5,500 ft. high. Well grassed and watered, but liable to heavy snow in bad weather. Improvements consist of fencing.

Run 14 (Wakatipu): Situated on east side of Rees River, five miles by formed road from Glenorchy. Hill country, running from 2,000 ft. to 7,000 ft. with general westerly exposure. Lower slopes well grassed, and warm upper country, shingly on tops, and only available for four summer months. Improvements consist of fencing only.

Run 306A: Fronts on railway-line near Wedderburn. Altitude from 2,000 ft. to 5,500 ft. The run is well grassed and watered, and there is a considerable extent of comparatively low country, some of which might be broken up, but the exposure generally is to the south-west, and the country cold. Improvements consist of house, wool-shed, and fencing.

Run 134A: Situated between the branches of the Kakanui River. Access by road from Tokarahi Railway-station, about seven miles, the last three miles being unformed. The country has generally a north-easterly exposure, with long easy spurs running from a height of 1,000 ft. at the river to 5,300 ft. on the back range from Kakanui Peak to Mount Pisgah. With the exception of the very high country, it is well grassed, but is liable to heavy falls of snow in bad winters, and the access is somewhat difficult. Improvements consist of huts, yards, and fencing.

Runs 334C and 334D (grouped): Situated on west side of Lake Wanaka, about three miles from Pembroke by formed road. Altitude, 950 ft. to 5,200 ft. Fair proportion of low country, which is, however, as well as the foothills, fenny. General aspect to the north-east, and good. Improvements consist of fencing, water-race, grassing, &c.

Run 334: Situated on north side of Cardrona River, three miles from Pembroke by formed road. Altitude, 1,000 ft. to 4,800 ft. Mostly summer country, with general south-west aspect. Good homestead-site, and few hundred acres of good flat land which has been improved by irrigation. Improvements consist of small house, fences, water-race, grassing, &c.

Runs 334B and 25 (Wakatipu): Situated on Arrow and Motatapu River watersheds. Accessible from Arrowtown, two miles distant, by good road. Mostly hill country, well grassed and watered; from 1,200 ft. to nearly 7,000 ft. high. Good country, but liable to heavy snow. The main valleys are suited to cattle-grazing. The improvements consist of huts, yards, and fencing.

Run 99: Situated on east side of Makarora River and the head of Lake Wanaka, where there is wharf accommodation and post-office. Mountain country, from 1,000 ft. to 8,000 ft. in height, the greater part being above bush-level. Improvements consist of fencing.

Sections 3, Block VIII, and 1, Block IX, Waihemo district: Situated about one mile and a half from Morrison’s Post-office. Well-grassed country, running from 2,000 ft. to 3,000 ft. in height, but shingly on top. Improvements consist of fencing.
