NOTICE is hereby given that I, GEORGE PETER MARSHDALE, of Palmerston North, in the Provincial District of Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Builder (at present temporarily residing at Makaretu, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, in the Dominion aforesaid), hitherto called or known by the name of “Jens Peter Jansen,” have assumed the name of “George Peter Marshdale” in lieu and substitution of the name of “Jens Peter Jansen,” and that I now do and at all times hereafter will in all deeds, writings, dealings, transactions, and documents, and all legal and other proceedings, affairs, occasions, and matters whatsoever, use the name of “George Peter Marshdale” as and for my name, in lieu and substitution of the aforesaid name of “Jens Peter Jansen,” as testified by deed poll under my hand and seal dated the sixteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and filed in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Napier.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK V, PENCARROW SURVEY DISTRICT, FOR THE PURPOSES OF A ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and its amendments, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block V, Pencarrow Survey District—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Hutt County Council, at No. 68 Lambton Quay, Wellington, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Hutt County Council.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 13th day of April, 1910, presented to His Honour Sir Robert Stout, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, by David John Macdonald, of Wellington, Storekeeper, a creditor of the said company, and the said Petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, on Tuesday, the 3rd day of May, 1910, at the hour of 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the Petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by either of the under-signed firms on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, JOHN RITCHIE, of Mataura Island, in Southland, Farm Labourer, was duly registered with the Registrar of Births at Kaitangata as “John Ritchie,” having been born on the 22nd day of March, 1883, but I have for many years past been known by the name of “John Bates,” which is the surname of my stepfather: Now, I hereby give notice that as from the date hereof I do adopt and assume the name of “John Ritchie Bates,” by which name I elect hereafter to be known. And I further give notice that I have caused to be deposited in the office of the Supreme Court at Invercargill a copy of this notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipawa Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, to establish a public recreation-ground in and for the Borough of Waipawa—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
