Land temporarily reserved for a Site for a Public Library
and Mechanics' Institute in the Village of Paengaroa,
Auckland Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first sec-
tion of "The Land Act, 1908," it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me
by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale
the land in the Auckland Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a public library
and mechanics’ institute.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2 roods 38 perches, more or less, being
Section No. 36, Village of Paengaroa (Block VIII, Maketu
Survey District). Bounded towards the north by a public
road, 273⋅6 links; towards the east by a public road,
259⋅1 links; towards the south by Section No. 37 of Pae-
ngaroa Village, 301⋅2 links; and towards the west by a line
bearing 360° 00', 257⋅6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
L. 5362/4, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eleventh day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and ten.

Warrant authorising the Masterton County Council to
construct Two Bridges over the Waipoua River at the
North Entrance to the Town of Masterton, together with
26 Chains of Approaches thereto, and apportioning the
Cost.
PLUNKET, Governor
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon
me by section one hundred and nineteen of “The Pub-
lic Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, being of opin-
ion that the works hereinafter mentioned should be done, do
hereby authorise the Council of the County of Masterton to
construct the bridges described in the Schedule hereto, to-
gether with the approaches and side walks thereto; and I do
hereby declare that the cost thereof shall be borne by the
Council of the County of Masterton and the Council of the
Borough of Masterton in the following proportions—viz., the
Council of the County of Masterton to contribute one-half of
such cost, and the Council of the Borough of Masterton to
bear the other one-half of such cost.
And I do hereby also further direct that any contribution
hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Masterton
Borough Council shall be paid from time to time out of
the funds of the said Borough Council, within a period of
thirty days after demand in writing made by or on behalf
of the Masterton County Council, and all such payments
shall be made from time to time to the Clerk of the said
County Council for and on account of such Borough Council.
SCHEDULE.
THOSE two bridges over the Waipoua River on the Waingawa
to Camp Road at the north entrance to the Town of Master-
ton, together with about 26 chains of approaches, with side
walks between and on either side of the said bridges; as the
said bridges are more particularly shown on the plans marked
P.W.D. 25649, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this ninth day of April, one thousand nine hun-
dred and ten.
