ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of March, 1910.

WHEREAS a petition has been presented to the Governor, under section one hundred and eighteen of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” praying the Governor to alter the boundaries of the Borough of Wanganui by including therein the area described in the Schedule hereto : And whereas a notice showing the proposed alteration in boundaries of the said borough has been gazetted and publicly notified, and objections in writing against such alteration were lodged : And whereas such objections have been duly considered, and it is deemed expedient to make the alteration prayed for in the said petition :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that, as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and ten, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be included in the said Borough of Wanganui.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 54, 53, 52, 51, and 50, Block III, Westmere Survey District, from the eastern-most corner of Section No. 248 to the north-western corner of Section No. 31; thence towards the east by Section No. 31, Block III aforesaid, and the production of the western boundary-line of that section to the Wanganui River; thence towards the south and south-east by the Wanganui River to the Borough of Wanganui; thence towards the south-west by the Borough of Wanganui to the north-eastern boundary-line of Original Section No. 18, Block V, Westmere Survey District; thence by that section to its north-eastern corner; and thence towards the north-west generally by Sections Nos. 42, 33, 228, 25A, and 248, Block III aforesaid, to the place of commencement.

Netting in Taieri River and Mouth.

THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Orders in Council dated the twenty-third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and the twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette Nos. 76 and 92, of the twenty-ninth and twenty-fourth days of the same months respectively, regulations were made prohibiting the use of nets at the mouth of or entrance to any river or stream :
And whereas it is desirable to revoke such prohibition so far only as relates to the Taieri River and the mouth thereof, and to make regulations relating to the use of nets, imposing conditions and restrictions on the taking of fish, and providing for the more effectual protection of fish therein :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section eighty-three of “The Fisheries Act, 1908” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the prohibition of the use of nets made by the hereinbefore-recited Orders in Council, in so far as relates to the Taieri River and the mouth thereof, but not further or otherwise, and doth hereby make the following regulations :—
REGULATIONS.

No person shall put, throw, drag, draw, or place, or allow to be put, thrown, dragged, drawn, or placed, any net of any description (except a landing-net) in the Taieri River: Provided that this regulation shall not prohibit the use of nets for the taking of indigenous fish at the mouth or entrance of such river.

Any officer of the Otago Acclimatisation Society appointed under Part II of the said Act is hereby empowered, for the enforcement of these regulations, to enter and examine any boat or boats engaged in fishing in the Taieri River or the mouth thereof in cases where there is reason to believe that trout are being taken illegally.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twelfth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19, of the nineteenth day of the same month, the Leyland-O'Brien Timber Company (Limited), (hereinafter called “the company”), was licensed to occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark of Wharekawa River, Thames County, for the purpose of using and maintaining thereon timber-booms, erected in accordance with plans marked M.D. 2062 (two sheets), and deposited in the office of the Marine Department, at Wellington, for a period of fourteen years from the twelfth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six :
And whereas the company has made application for a fresh licence under “The Harbours Act, 1908” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), for a term of two years, computed from the expiry of the term of the said first-mentioned
