No. 27433.—16th March, 1910.—FRANK KERBY, of “Hilda,” 445 Glenmore Road, Paddington, near Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, Engineer. Mill-belt fastener.
Extract from Specification.—Two metal plates provided with punctures or perforations so stamped or formed that pointed ends of metal protrude beneath and grip the belting material when forced in. A split pin is then driven through the plates and the members of the pin turned back in the opposite directions.

No. 27446.—21st March, 1910.—FRANCIS SMOOTHY, of Pareora East, Canterbury, New Zealand, Wool-classer. An improved fencing-staple.
Claims.—(1.) A fencing-staple formed with its shank of angular section and with a head extending across the top thereof and provided with a pointed hook extending laterally from the side of the head and turned down to lie parallel with the shank, substantially as specified. (2.) In fencing-staples a pointed hook extending laterally from the side of the head and turned down to lie parallel with the shank, substantially as specified.

No. 27449.—19th March, 1910.—JOHN MITCHELL, of Arthur Street, Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand, Architect. An improvement relating to window-sashes.
Claims.—(1.) The improvement in window-sashes, consisting of the stile having a slotted hole and a cam pivotally mounted therein, substantially as specified and illustrated. (2.) The improvement in window-sashes, consisting of the parts constructed, combined, and operating substantially as set forth and illustrated.

No. 27451.—22nd March, 1910.—JAMES NEILL, of Composite Steel Works, Napier Street, Sheffield, England, Manufacturer. Improvements in tools for manufacturing files.
Claims.—(1.) A file-cutting tool comprising a body having a cutting edge of arc-shaped outline. (2.) A file-cutting tool as specified in claim 1, substantially as described, with reference to the drawings.

No. 27460.—23rd March, 1910.—ENGELBERT SCHWER, of 154 Enmore Road, Enmore, New South Wales, Master Plumber. An improvement in the construction of bath-water heaters and the like.
Claims. — (1.) In bath-water heaters and the like, the water-chambers inside of heating-furnace, which may be placed in any number and through which the water circulates, substantially as described. (2.) In bath-water heaters, the combination of water-chambers, inlet-pipe S, and outlet-pipe O, and unions RR, by which means the chambers may be disconnected, substantially as described.
