A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a borough under the said Act on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and ten; that the name of such borough shall be the Borough of Te Kuiti; that the said borough shall be an undivided borough; and that the number of Councillors to be elected thereto shall be nine, exclusive of the Mayor.
And I do further proclaim and declare that John Tammadge, of Te Kuiti, shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough; and that the said John Tammadge shall be the Town Clerk and the person to prepare the district electors roll for the purposes of the said first election.
And, lastly, I do proclaim and declare that the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough shall be held on Wednesday, the fourth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten; and that the first meeting of the Council of the said borough shall be held on Friday, the sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten, at half past seven o’clock in the afternoon, at Hattaway’s Hall, at Te Kuiti.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by Te Kumi No. 3 Block and the crossing of a road from the southernmost corner of the said Te Kumi No. 3 Block to the Mangaokewa Stream; thence across and by that stream to a point in line with the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 2A, Block XV, Orahiri Survey District; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of that section, by its north-western boundary-
line and the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block XV aforesaid, and by Allotment No. 5 of Section No. 11, Block XVI, Orahiri Survey District, to the road at its south-eastern corner; thence towards the north-east by a right line to the northernmost corner of Te Kuiti No. 7; thence by Te Kuiti No. 10 Block to the north-western boundary of Te Kuiti No. 11 Block; thence towards the south-east by the last-mentioned block to the Mangaokewa Stream; thence towards the east generally by a line across that stream, and by its left bank to Pukenui No. 2d4 Block; thence by the last-mentioned block to a branch railway-line to ballast-pit; thence by the said branch railway-line to the Main Trunk Railway; thence by the said railway-line to the north-western boundary of Pukenui No. 2N Block; thence towards the south-east by the last-mentioned block and the crossing of a road at its north-western corner; thence towards the south-west generally by a right line to the northernmost corner of Pukenui No. 2b7 Block; thence by Pukenui No. 2r Block to the westernmost corner of Pukenui No. 2p Block; thence by a right line to Trig. Station A (Te Whaukotuku); thence by a right line to a point called Wharekakaka, on the eastern boundary of Tapui-Wahine 1c Block; and thence by Tapui-Wahine 1c and 1A Blocks to the southernmost corner of Te Kumi No. 3 Block to the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

ERRATA.—In the Order in Council dated the 29th August, 1904, and published in the New Zealand Gazette Nos. 73, 75, 76, and 78, pages 2118, 2166, 2200, and 2258 respectively, taking Native land for a gravel-pit, and for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Tologa Bay–Tokomaru Road, in Anaura Block, Block XV, Tokomaru Survey District, for “Ratepayers” read “Inhabitants.”
On page 597, New Zealand Gazette No. 15, of 17th February, 1910, date of Order in Council licensing Harrison and Co. to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Half-moon Bay, Stewart Island, as a site for fish-cleaning sheds and tramway should be the 17th January, 1910, instead of 17th February, 1910.
On page 920, New Zealand Gazette No. 26, of 24th March, 1910, Notice to Mariners regarding rock in Waiuku Channel, Manukau Harbour, in third line, after the word “bears,” it should read “N. 18° W.,” and not “N. 18° E.”
