All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Lot 1 of Section 210, Suburbs of Gisborne. Bounded towards the north-east by Childer’s Road, 200 links; towards the south-east by other part of the said Section 210, 498·26 links; towards the south-west by other part of the said Section 210, 201·4 links; and towards the north-west by Section 209, 498·26 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 58628/11, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing 19 acres and 23 perches, being Block IV, Township of Buckley. Bounded towards the north by Forster Street, 1356 links; towards the east by Ferneaux Street, 1400·2 links; towards the south by Banks Street, 1379 links; and towards the west by Discovery Street, 1400 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 5215/4, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Also all that area in the said land district, containing 20 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section 1, Block XII, Mata Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the Akuaku West No. 4 Block, 1500 links; towards the south-east by a road reserve 1 chain in width along the sea-coast; towards the south-west by the Ohineaki No. 2 Block, 1322·6 links; and towards the north-west by the said Ohineaki No. 2 Block, 1400 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 58628/21, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this nineteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Monday, the twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1908.”

Situated about six miles from Rawene—five miles by water and one mile pack-track.

Situated about six miles from Rawene—five miles by water and one mile by bridle-track.

Altitude, 100 ft. to 300 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land, covered with mixed forest, comprising kauri, rimu, kahikatea, towai, rata, taraire, with dense undergrowth of nikau and shrubs; soil of fair second-class quality, on sandstone formation; well watered. Situated about six miles from Rawene—five miles by water and one mile bridle-track.

HOKIANGA COUNTY.—WAOKU SURVEY DISTRICT.

Altitude, 800 ft. to 900 ft. above sea level. Undulating land, part very stony; about 20 acres mixed forest, comprising kahikatea, taraire, puriri, with dense undergrowth of nikau and kiekie; balance fern and manuka; soil of fair second-class quality, on clay subsoil; indifferently watered by springs. Situated about nine miles from Opononi by fair formed road.

HOBSON COUNTY.—TUTAMOE SURVEY DISTRICT.

Altitude, 500 ft. to 900 ft. above sea-level. About 2 acres swamp, balance undulating land, with some level patches on hilltops; all covered with fern and manuka, except about 3 acres burnt forest; sufficient dry kauri on section for building and fencing; soil loam and clay from fair to inferior in quality, on sandstone formation; watered by stream. Situated about three miles from Kaihu Railway-station—half-mile bridle-track, balance good road.

OTAMATEA COUNTY.—MARERETU PARISH.

Altitude, 350 ft. to 500 ft. above sea-level. Open fern and scrub land, formerly forest, now overrun by fires; four dry kauri-trees on section; soil loam and clay of fair quality on sandstone formation. Situated about seven miles from Paparoa, and about eleven miles from Waipu, by formed dray-road in either case.

WAIKATO COUNTY.—TAMAHERE PARISH.

Altitude, 250 ft. to 330 ft. above sea-level. About 10 acres rush and scattered flax swamp, remainder fern and manuka; 30 acres flat, including swamp; about 15 acres broken and rough gullies; balance undulating country; soil light to heavy, fair to medium in quality, on slate formation; indifferently watered by swampy springs. Distant about four miles from Hautapu Railway-station by cart-road.

WHANGAREI COUNTY.—OPUAWHANGA SURVEY DISTRICT.

Altitude, from 350 ft. to 500 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to very broken land, with about 5 acres flat land; about 20 acres fern and tea-tree; balance mixed forest, puriri, towai, tawa, birch, rata; undergrowth of fern and shrubs; soil a mixed loam and clay, medium in the forest, inferior in the open, on sandstone formation; fairly watered. Distant about three miles from Helena Bay by bridle-track.
