THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Town Boards Act, 1908," and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said area shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district under "The Town Boards Act, 1908," by the name of the St. Aubyn Town District. And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of five members.


SCHEDULE.

St. Aubyn Town District.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, situated in Blocks IV and V, Paritutu Survey District, bounded towards the north-east by the Borough of New Plymouth from the sea to Gladstone Road; thence towards the south-east generally by Gladstone Road to Belt Road; thence across and by the said Belt Road to the northern boundary of part of Section No. 20; thence by parts of Sections Nos. 20, 9, and 19 to Calvert Road; thence across that road, by Section No. 18 and part of Section No. 17 to and across Bayly Road; thence towards the south-west by the south-western side of Bayly Road and its production to the sea; and thence towards the north-west by the sea to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Land taken for the Preservation of Scenery in Block XI, Makuri Survey District, Pahiatua County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Scenery Preservation Act, 1908," and "The Public Works Act, 1908," for the preservation of scenery in Block XI, Makuri Survey District:

And whereas an agreement has been entered into with the owner of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto to take such land for the preservation of scenery:

And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the land, as required by "The Public Works Act, 1908":

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Scenery Preservation Act, 1908," and "The Public Works Act, 1908," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the preservation of scenery; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Land taken for Road Purposes in Block II, Wairoa Survey District, Okotuku Road District.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1908," for a certain public work, to wit, for the purposes of a road in the Wairoa Survey District:

And whereas the Okotuku Road Board has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public Works Act, 1908," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten.
