Varied Notice (No. 2) fixing Closing-hours of Fruiterers', Refreshment-room Keepers', Confectioners', and Stationers' Shops in the Borough of Temuka under the Shops and Offices Act.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the fruiterers', refreshment-room keepers', confectioners', and stationers' shops in the Borough of Temuka, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops within the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows:—Fruiterers, Refreshment-room Keepers, and Confectioners: Half-holiday at 10.30 p.m., Saturdays at 11 p.m.; other working-days, 10.30 p.m. Stationers: Half-holiday at 1 p.m., Saturday at 10 p.m.; other working-days, 8 p.m.: And whereas the Temuka Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the fruiterers', refreshment-room keepers', confectioners', and stationers' shops in the Borough of Temuka:
Now, therefore, I, John Andrew Millar, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1908,” do hereby direct that, from and after the 14th day of March, 1910, all fruiterers', refreshment-room keepers', confectioners', and stationers' shops in the Borough of Temuka shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.
The notices gazetted the 16th day of February, 1905, and the 10th day of May, 1906, fixing the closing-hours of all shops in the borough, are hereby varied accordingly.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the tobacconists' and hairdressers' shops in the Borough of Temuka, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops within the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Half-holiday at 1 p.m., Saturdays at 10.30 p.m., other working-days at 8 p.m.: And whereas the Temuka Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the tobacconists' and hairdressers' shops in the Borough of Temuka:

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in Block XVI, Kawhia South Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Ngapaenga, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, Wellington.
