A PPLICATION having been made to me to register a discharge of Mortgage No. 18847, of part of Section 12, Block LXIV, Town of Invercargill, NIHIAN GEORGE TROTTER, mortgagee, and evidence having been lodged of the destruction of the outstanding duplicate of the said mortgage, I hereby give notice that I intend to register the said discharge and to dispense with the production of the said duplicate, as empowered by section 40 of the Land Transfer Act, 1908, unless caveat be lodged in this office forbidding the same within fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.

Land required for a Road.

P URSUANT to the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is hereby notified that the Horowhenua County Council requires the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a public road.

A plan marked “A” showing the position of same will be open for inspection at the County Office, Levin, during office hours for a period of forty days from date hereof.

All persons affected by the taking of the land are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections thereto, and to serve the same on the County Clerk, at Levin, before the expiration of forty days from date hereof.

T AKE notice that your husband, ROBERT BALLANTINE, has filed in this Honourable Court at Auckland his petition against you, praying for a dissolution of his marriage with you, wherein he alleges that you have without just cause wilfully deserted him and without any such cause left him continuously so deserted during five years and upwards. And further take notice that unless within twenty-eight days after the publication of this advertisement in the New Zealand Gazette you file in our said Court at Auckland an answer to the said petition the said Court will proceed to hear the said charge proved and to pronounce sentence therein, your absence notwithstanding. And further take notice that before filing the said answer you must enter an appearance in person or by your solicitor at the Registry of the said Court at Auckland aforesaid, and that if you do not enter such an appearance you will not be allowed to address the Court either in person or by counsel at any stage of the proceedings.
