Allocating Land taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in Block XIV, Otira Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Midland Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Public Works that such land is not required for railway purposes:
And whereas such land is situated in the Westland County, the local authority of which county has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently control and maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Westland County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Additional Land in Tauhoa Survey District taken for the Purposes of the Helensville Northwards Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Helensville Northwards Railway to take further land in Tauhoa Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Defining the Middle-line of a Further Portion of the Helensville Northwards Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Helensville Northwards Railway (hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction of which is authorized by the Public Works Act, 1908: And whereas the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point in Section 51, Bickerstaffe Settlement, Block XIII, Waipu Survey District, which point is marked 84 miles 60 chains, and is also the terminating point of the railway described in a Proclamation dated the 20th day of June, 1910, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62, of 23rd June, 1910; proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 2 miles 10 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, viz.: Section 51, Bickerstaffe Settlement, Block XIII, Waipu Survey District; Sections 51, 50, 35, 2792A, and 2050A, Bickerstaffe Settlement, Block XII, Waipu Survey District; and terminating at a point marked 86 miles 70 chains, which point is about 130¼ chains due north of the southern boundary and about 104¾ chains due west of the eastern boundary of Block XII, Waipu Survey District; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses; all in the Land District of Auckland: as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 27675, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
