LUCINDA BAR, SOUTH ENTRANCE TO HINCHINBROOK CHANNEL.
Alteration of Leading-beacons.
Notice is hereby given that, on and after the 29th instant, the leading-beacons which mark the channel across Lucinda Bar will be moved to the southward to a point 1½ miles south of Lucinda Point, and will lead across the bar bearing S. 30° W.
Vessels entering will, on and after the above date, pass about a cable north of the fairway buoy (instead of to the southward of it as hitherto), and bring the new lead in line bearing S. 30° W., passing a black buoy, which marks the extreme of the Southern Spit, on the port hand, and round the elbow red buoy on the starboard hand, bringing the Dungeness lead in line as hitherto.
Vessels outward bound running down the Dungeness lead should leave that lead before the bar beacons come quite on, and rounding the red buoy bring the bar lead on.
The new bar beacons lead through the centre of the present channel in 10½ ft. at L.W.S., giving 5½ ft. more than hitherto.
