NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 23 of the Companies Act, 1908, a General meeting of shareholders of W. A. Ryan and Co. (Limited), (in voluntary liquidation) will be held at the registered office of the company, Customs Street East, Auckland, on Friday, 9th December, 1910, at 2.30 p.m., for the purpose of having laid before the meeting the account of the Liquidator, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of.

The company will be asked by extraordinary resolution how the books, accounts, and documents of the company and the Liquidator are to be disposed of.

REGISTRATION OF MOTORS.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Maniototo County Council, on the 2nd day of November, 1910, decided by resolution that Part II of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, shall be brought into operation in its district—namely, the whole of the County of Maniototo—as from the 1st day of January, 1911.

In the matter of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act, 1908, and the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Kaitangata Co-operative Society (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named society by the Magistrate’s Court was on the 19th day of November, 1910, presented to the Magistrate’s Court at Kaitangata, and James Rankin Bartholomew, Esquire, the Stipendiary Magistrate thereof, by Joseph Pilgrim, of Kaitangata, in the Provincial District of Otago, Farmer a creditor of the said society. And the said petition is directed to be heard at the Magistrate’s Court in Kaitangata on Thursday, the 15th day of December, 1910, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said society desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding up of the said society under the above Acts should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said society requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

ALBERT EDWARD JULL, Chairman of the Waipawa County Council, hereby certify that the following resolution was passed by the Waipawa County Council on the 7th day of October, 1910, and confirmed on the 4th day of November, 1910, and that public notice of such resolution was given once in each week for the four weeks immediately preceding its confirmation in the Waipawa Mail newspaper:

Resolution: “That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Water-supply Act, 1908, the Waipawa County Council hereby resolves as follows: That the Waipawa County Council doth hereby appoint Mr. R. GLOYN as a Managing Ratepayer of the Forest Gate Water-race, vice A. Pilcher, deceased, and that the special order of the said Council made on the 4th day of February, 1910, and confirmed on the 4th day of March, 1910, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on the 14th day of April, 1910, is hereby varied accordingly.
