called upon to lodge any written objections to, or petitions
against, the proposed alteration within one month from
the first publication of this notice. Such objections or
petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister
of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF AUCKLAND.
ALL that area bounded towards the north-east by the Wai-
temata Harbour, 1770 links; towards the east by a right
line being the production of the eastern boundary of the
City of Auckland, 250 links; and towards the south-west
by the northern boundary of the City of Auckland, 1800
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

THE following special order, made by the Moa Road
Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

MOA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order levying a Special Rate for One Year for
the Purpose of maintaining the Ratapiko Road.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Road Boards Act, 1908, the Moa Road
Board hereby resolves as follows: That the prayer of the
petition of the ratepayers of the Ratapiko and other roads
be granted, and the Moa Road Board, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of maintaining the Rata-
piko Road, hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d.
in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable pro-
perty of the Ratapiko Road Special Rating District, com-
prising Sections 12, 29, 30, 23, 24, 22, 21, 45, 46, 49, 50,
47, 48, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 51, 52, 53, 54, 60, 55, 56,
57, Block VI; Huiroa Survey District, and Sections 5, 7,
8, 10, 19, 20, Block VII, Huiroa Survey District; and that
such special rate shall be for one year for the period com-
mencing on the 1st day of December, 1910, and ending on
the 30th day of November, 1911, and be payable in one
instalment on the 1st day of February, 1911.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
passed in accordance with the Road Boards Act, 1908, at a
special meeting of the Moa Road Board held on the 1st
day of October, 1910, and confirmed at a subsequent meet-
ing of the said Board held on the 21st day of November,
1910.

church Tramway Board, are published in accord-
ance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1908.

CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD.

Special Order.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Christchurch Tramways District Act,
1902, the Christchurch Tramways District Act 1902
Amendment Act, 1903, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1901, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1902,
and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,
and of every other power and authority thereunto or
in that behalf enabling it, the Christchurch Tramway
Board thereby resolves as follows: That, for the pur-
pose of providing interest and other charges on a loan
of £250,000, increased by an additional loan of £100,000
ranking pari passu therewith, making in all a loan of
£350,000, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch
Tramway Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for
the purpose of purchasing, extending, altering, renew-
ing, repairing, and equipping existing tramways (includ-
ing the use of electricity as a motive-power), and for the
purpose of adding to and extending the tramway system,
the said Christchurch Tramway Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of 8¾d. in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property (according to the
annual rateable value thereof) of the Christchurch Tram-
ways District (with the exception of the Riccarton-Sock-
burn Subdistrict thereof), comprising all that area in the
Canterbury Land District bounded towards the north
generally by Sawyer’s Arms Road from the Fendalton
and Sawyer’s Arms Junction Road to the Christchurch-
Hurunui Railway line; thence by that railway-line to
Northcote Road; thence by Northcote Road to North
Road; thence by North Road to Winter’s Road; thence
by Winter’s Road to Hill’s Road; thence by Hill’s Road
to the north-western corner of Section No. 1052, Christ-
church Survey District; thence by Sections Nos. 1052,
1139, and 7671 to the canal and road reserve, across that
reserve, and by Sections Nos. 1131, 1053, 8007, and 3950
to Bottle Lake Road; thence by Bottle Lake Road to
Cemetery Road; thence by the road forming the northern
boundaries of Sections Nos. 18, 184, 5624, and 5673, in-
tersecting Section No. 5492, forming the northern bound-
aries of Sections Nos. 3672, 5155, 6757, and 6856, inter-
secting Reserve No. 1579, and forming the northern
boundaries of Sections Nos. 33181, 32867, 17573, and the
southern side of that road produced to the sea; thence
towards the south-east generally by the sea to Godley
Head; thence towards the south generally to Lyttelton
Harbour to the Borough of Lyttelton; thence by the
Borough of Lyttelton, as described in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 53, 17th September, 1885, to Mount Pleasant
Road near the south-western corner of Section No. 247A,
Block II, Sumner Survey District; thence by the said
Mount Pleasant Road to the north-eastern corner of Sec-
tion No. 1319, Christchurch Survey District; thence by the
said Section No. 1319, Section No. 248A, Reserve No. 40,
and Section No. 19 to the road forming the southern
boundary of Section No. 77; thence by that road to the
Christchurch–Lyttelton Railway line; thence by that rail-
way-line to Opawa Road near the bridge over the Heath-
cote River; thence by the Opawa Road to Martin’s Road
to the road running east from Trig.-station Q; thence
by that road and the road forming the eastern boundaries
of Sections Nos. 5863, 2116, 11465, and 2135, Christchurch
Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-
mentioned section; thence by Sections Nos. 34655, 1935,
34653, 2047, to Dyer’s Pass Road; thence by Dyer’s Pass
Road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 2046;
thence by the southern boundary-line of the said Sec-
tion No. 2046 to its westernmost corner; thence by
a right line to the southernmost corner of Section
No. 549; thence by the south-western boundary-line
of the said Section No. 549 and its production to the
Heathcote River, thence by the Heathcote River to the
Plantation and Road Reserve, and thence by the Planta-
tion and Road Reserve to Sutherland’s Road; thence to-
wards the west generally by Sutherland’s Road to Milne’s
Road; thence by Milne’s Road to Lower Lincoln Road;
thence by Lower Lincoln Road to Dunbar’s Road; thence
