NOTE.—Warm and cloudy weather, with high northerly winds, prevailed during the month. Total bright sunshine, 153 hours 8 minutes, averaging 4 hours 56 minutes. There were three sunless days. On two mornings frosts were recorded. The mean earth temperature at 1 ft. was 54·7°, and 54° at 3 ft. The mean dew-point 46·6°; mean elastic force of vapour, 0·318″; and mean relative humidity, 72 per cent.
