Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Midland Railway—namely, further portion of Arthur’s Pass Section:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the said further portion of the Midland Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners and mortgagee of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Rodney County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Otamatea Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road described in the First Schedule hereto.
