A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain work, to wit, for the purposes of a
road in Blocks I and V, Lyndon Survey District:
And whereas agreements have been entered into with the
owners of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto to take
such land for the public work hereinafter set forth :
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister
has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation
taking the land, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron
Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities
in me vested by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agree-
ments hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also
hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the thirty-first day of December, one thousand
nine hundred and ten.

before the Governor a memorial, together with a map, in
duplicate, and also the statutory declaration, as required by
the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron
Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities
in me vested by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land men-
tioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the pur-
poses of the said road; and I do also declare that this

And whereas the Education Board of the District of
Hawke's Bay has laid before the Governor a memorial,
accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration,
as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron
Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Education Act, 1908, and the Public
Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in
anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes of the said public school, and
shall vest in the Education Board of the District of Hawke's
Bay; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the thirty-first day of
December, one thousand nine hundred and ten.
