Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street at Burnside.

A P R O C L A M A T I O N.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway and Walton Park Railway respectively, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Borough of Green Island, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said street:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Green Island Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Otago, containing an area of 2 roods 5 perches, more or less, being a portion of railway land at Burnside Station, on the Lyttelton-Bluff Railway, and being portions of Sections 72, 73, and 74, Block V, Lower Kaikorai Survey District; as the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 17477, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.

Additional Lands at Wingatui taken for the Purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway to take further land at Wingatui, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
