DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between HERBERT SPENCE JONES and LEONARD JAMES HOLDAWAY, carrying on business in copartnership as Chaff-cutters and Woodsawers, under the style or firm of “Jones and Holdaway,” has been dissolved as from the 24th day of December, 1909.
All debts due to the late firm may be paid to either of the late partners, whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge for the same.
All debts against the late firm to be sent in not later than the 15th day of January, 1910.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned as Drapery Salesmen, at 180 George Street, Dunedin, under the style of “The Universal Drapery Supply Company,” has been dissolved as from the 20th day of December, 1909. The business will continue to be carried on at the above address by the undersigned A. T. CHODOWSKI, under the same style, and he shall pay all the liabilities of the partnership and receive all moneys owing thereto.

CASTLEPOINT COUNTY.

RESULT of a Poll of Ratepayers taken on a proposal that the adoption of the system of rating property on the basis of unimproved value thereof be rescinded in the County of Castlepoint. Votes recorded: For the proposal, 41; against the proposal, 19.

I therefore declare the rescinding proposal carried, and in future all rates made and levied after the 31st March next shall cease to be made on the unimproved value, and shall be made and levied in the manner in which they were made and levied before the adopting proposal was carried.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL.

UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hutt County Council proposes to take for the purposes of a public road the following lands, namely:—

  1. 1 acre and 10 perches, part Haukapua West.
  2. 1 acre 1 rood 39 perches, part Haukapua West.
  3. 3 acres 1 rood 7 perches, part Hongoeko No. 1.
  4. 2 acres 2 roods 25 perches, part Hongoeko No. 2.
  5. 2 acres 1 rood 33 perches, part Hongoeko No. 1.
    A plan of the land proposed to be taken is open for inspection at the offices of the Hutt County, at No. 68 Lambton Quay, in the City of Wellington, during business hours.
    All persons affected are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Hutt County Council.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1908.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council, on behalf of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, proposes to take under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act the land described in the Schedule hereto, for carrying out the purposes of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908.”
And further notice is hereby given that a survey has been made and a plan has been prepared showing the land required to be taken, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such land, so far as they can be ascertained, and a copy of such plan is deposited at the Town Clerk’s Office, situate at the Christchurch City Council Chambers, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours—namely, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, except on Saturdays, when such hours are 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to such works or to the taking of the said land, and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Christchurch City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk, at the office of the said City Council, situate as aforesaid.
Schedule.
All that parcel of land situate in Sydenham Ward of the City of Christchurch, having an approximate area of 25 perches, situate in Block 15, coloured blue on plan marked B; all in the City of Christchurch; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned.
