MINING NOTICES.
UNDER "THE MINING ACT, 1908."
APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Cromwell.
Pursuant to “The Mining Act, 1908,” the undersigned, Elizabeth Towan, of Cromwell, Widow, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and number of miner's right: 10th September, 1909; No. 73515.
Address for service: Care of Hutton and McKean, Solicitors, Clyde.
Dated at Clyde, this 5th day of November, 1909.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing at a point close to the eastern boundary of Section 36, Block III, Cromwell District, being the freehold land of Henry John Towan, in a creek into which water from Ti-tree Gully flows, called Burnt-cottage Creek, and terminating in water-race held by Applicant under License No. 1922.
Pegs marked X.
Length and intended course of race: 120 yards; southerly. Point of intake: Commencing-point.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Two days; £2 15s.
Mean depth and breadth: 12 in. by 18 in.
Number of heads to be diverted: One.
Purposes for which water is to be used: Irrigation, industrial, and domestic.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.
