Notice of Request to amend Specification.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 4th November, 1909.

REQUEST for leave to amend the undermentioned application for Letters Patent has been received, and is open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time from one month from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the amendments. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

No. 25884.—A. R. Angus.—Device for preventing railway collisions. (Advertised in Supplement to New Zealand Gazette, No. 51, of the 17th June, 1909.)

The nature of the proposed amendments is as follows:—
(1.) On page 4—to insert the words “one of” after “track,” and “said” after “which,” line 14; to insert “being” instead of “are” line 15, and “or a battery” after “accumulator,” line 15; to insert “last-mentioned plate” instead of “relative plates,” line 17; and to insert “or a battery” after “accumulator,” line 22.
(2.) On page 9—to insert the words “or battery” after “accumulator,” line 25; “is connected” instead of “passes,” line 26; and “with” instead of “through,” line 27.
(3.) On page 10—to insert the words “is also connected with” instead of the words “also passes through,” line 12.
(4.) On page 14—to alter “negative” to “positive,” line 29.
(5.) On page 15—to alter “40” to “49,” line 18; and to insert “thence” after “terminal 50,” line 21.
(6.) On page 17—to strike out the words “not shown in the drawings,” line 33; and to insert the following after the words “and also,” line 34: “lowers a duplicate rotating-rod 69 at B, which last-mentioned rod is previously raised as locomotive is on terminus area at A and passes over a relative fixed rod not shown in Fig. 6 of the drawings, but part of the wire connecting same is shown in Fig. 6, and at the same time raises the.”
