THE following special order, made by the Dannevirke County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

DANNEVIRKE COUNTY COUNCIL.
Copy of a Resolution passed by the Dannevirke County Council on the 6th day of May, 1908, and confirmed on the 10th day of June of the same Year.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Dannevirke County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Dannevirke County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for re-forming and metalling the worst portions of the Upper Mangapuaka Road with its junction with the Te Uri Road to its intersection with the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block III, Mangatoro Survey District, the said Dannevirke County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the rateable property of the Upper Mangapuaka Road Special-rating District, comprising Section 2, Block III; Section 1, Block VII; and one-half of Section 2, Block VII; all of the Mangatoro Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, Fred G. Cowper, Chairman of the Dannevirke County Council, hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Dannevirke County Council on the 6th day of May, 1908, and confirmed on the 10th day of June, 1908.

THE following special order, made by the Ashburton Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Ashburton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of securing the repayment of and providing the interest and other charges on a special loan of £15,000, authorised to be raised by the Ashburton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing waterworks for the supply of pure water for the use of the inhabitants of the Borough of Ashburton, the said Ashburton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Ashburton, comprising the whole of the Borough of Ashburton, as set out in the Proclamation creating the said borough in the New Zealand Gazette of the 30th day of July, 1878; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and until repayment thereof, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Ashburton was hereunto affixed, pursuant to a resolution of the Ashburton Borough Council, in the presence of—

We hereby certify that the above special order was duly adopted at a special meeting of the Ashburton Borough Council held on the 6th day of September, 1909, and was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Ashburton Borough Council held on the 4th day of October, 1909.
