with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1908.”

WHANGAMOMONA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Notice is hereby given of the Institution of a Special Order.
--£90 Loan.--Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Whangamomona County Council hereby resolves as follows : That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on a loan of £90, being the further advance of 10 per cent.
on the original loan of £900, authorised to be raised by the
Whangamomona County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling with burnt papa rock portions of
the Kohuratahi Road, the said Whangamomona County
Council hereby raises and levies a special rate of ⅙d. in the
pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of
the Kohuratahi Road Special-rating District, comprising
Sections 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, 66, and 68 of Block XIV, and
Sections 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 of Block XV, both
blocks being in the Pouatu Survey District; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the
lst day of January and the lst day of July in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The
rate of interest to be 4½ per cent. per annum.

The above special order was instituted at a special meeting
of the Council held on the 26th day of May, 1909, and
was confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 19th
day of July, 1909, in accordance with the provision of “The
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and “The Counties Act,
1908.”

Eketahuna.

Borough Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

THAT the Eketahuna Borough Council do make the following special order making a special rate:—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and
its amendments, the Eketahuna Borough Council hereby resolves by special order as follows : That, for the purpose of
providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a
loan of £2,300, authorised to be raised by the Eketahuna
Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of refunding to the General Account moneys expended on the electric-light installation in excess of the
loan of £3,000 already authorised by the ratepayers, and of
completing and fitting out the installation of the electric-

light plant, and of extending the public and private lighting mains, the said Eketahuna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon
the rateable value of all the rateable property of the
Borough of Eketahuna, as defined in the Schedule to “The
Eketahuna Borough Act, 1906”; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of
February and the 1st day of August in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being for a period of thirty-three years from the 1st day of October, 1909, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Eketahuna was affixed hereto, in
pursuance of a resolution of the said Council passed on the
23rd day of September, 1909, in the presence of—

Borough of Woodville, is published in accordance
with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WOODVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan of £1,400.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,”
and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

I HEREBY give notice that on the 16th day of September,
1909, a proposal was submitted by the Woodville Borough
Council to the ratepayers of that portion of the borough
bounded on the north by Sowry Road, on the east by the
eastern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 8 and 120, and
on the south by the Government railway-line, and on the
west side by the Woodlands Road from the railway-line to
Sowry Road, for raising a loan of £1,400 for a period of
forty-one years, at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum,
for the purpose of extending the water-supply by laying
mains in Vogel Street, Woodlands Road, Lower Woodlands
Road, Hampson Street, Stanley Street, York Terrace, and
laying service-pipes to the boundaries of sections; also
extension of present mains in Sowry Road, Fergusson Street,
Normanby Street, and Bowen Street, within the Borough of
Woodville; and that the number of valid votes polled was:
For the proposal, 26; against the proposal, 0.

There being a majority of votes for the proposal, I declare
the same to be carried.

laying-off of End, Burns, Scott, and Albion Streets, in the
Town of Mataura Extension No. 2, Southland Land District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. each, instead of 99 ft.
