Opening Town Lands in Westland Land District for Selection.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the town lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Weighted with £25, valuation for cottage and outbuildings.

Roa is situated at the terminus of the Paparoa Coal Company’s Railway line, about two miles from Blackball. Access by good formed and metalled road, and also by railway. The sections are conveniently located for residence-sites, adjoining the Paparoa Coal Company’s works. The roads have been made, and the bush on all the sections has been felled.

Opening Settlement Land in Otago Land District for Selection.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1908,” and “The Land for Settlements Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

Notifying Land in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine, as the time at which the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Rural Land.

Section 18, containing 50 acres 3 roods 4 perches; upset price, £51.

Level country, covered with manuka scrub and fern; soil of medium quality, on sandstone formation; 1 acre in grass; well watered. Situated four miles from Whatawhata—three miles formed road, balance unformed.

Lands permanently reserved.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral licences, lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the three-hundred-and-twenty-second section of the said Act it is provided that lands reserved under the said three-hundred-and-twenty-first section may, at the expiration of one month six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved: notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
