SCHEDULE.
Cook County.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by
a line commencing at a point on the northern boundary of
Wairoa County at the north-eastern corner of Section No. 1,
Block VIII, Tuahu Survey District; thence north-easterly
along the north-western boundary of Small Grazing-run
No. 62 and the Kawaimango Stream to the Hangaroa River;
then along the middle of that river to the south-eastern
boundary of Hangaroa-Matawai B No. 1 Block; thence
along the south-eastern boundaries of Hangaroa-Matawai B
Nos. 1 and 4 Blocks and Wharekopae 1a Block to the
Wharekopae Stream; thence along that stream to the
Tahora Road; thence along the middle of that road to the
south-eastern corner of Subdivision 3 of Okahuatiu No. 1
Block; thence along the eastern boundary of that subdivi-
sion to Subdivision 1 of Okahuatiu No. 1d Block; thence
along part of the south-western boundary of the last-men-
tioned subdivision, and along its south-eastern boundary
to Tangihanga C Block; thence along the south-western
boundary of that block to the northernmost corner of Oka-
huatiu 1d2b Block; thence along the north-western and
south-western boundaries of the last-mentioned block, and
the south-western boundary of Okahuatiu 1d2b2 Block;
thence along the middle of the public road running easterly
to the easternmost crossing of the road by the Pouarua or
Tuaru Stream; thence along that stream to the Waipaoa
River; thence along the middle of that river to the Manga-
taikehu Stream; thence along the middle of the said stream
to the southern boundary of Ahirau No. 2b Block; thence
along the southern boundaries of Ahirau Nos. 2b, 2c, 2f, and
2g Blocks to the Mangarueke Stream; thence along the
middle of that stream to the eastern boundary of Papakoro-
koro No. 2a Block; thence along the eastern boundary of
that block to the Mangaoae Stream; thence along that
stream to the south-western boundary of Papakorokoro
No. 8 Block; thence along the south-western and south-
eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned block, part of the
north-eastern boundary of Papakorokoro No. 7 Block, and the
southern boundary of Waihora 2b No. 2 Block to Small
Grazing-run No. 44; thence along the western and northern
boundaries of that run to its north-eastern corner; thence along
the middle of the public road running north-easterly to the
Waiapu Inland Road; thence along the middle of the
Waiapu Inland Road, running northerly and south-westerly,
to the north-eastern boundary of Waingaromia 1c Block;
thence along the said north-eastern boundary to the Wainga-
romia River; thence along the middle of that river to the
southernmost corner of Waipaoa No. 3b Block; thence along
the eastern boundary of Waipaoa No. 2 Block to the southern
boundary of Waipu County; thence along the southern
boundary of that county to the sea; thence southerly along
the sea-shore to the north-eastern corner of the Wairoa
County; thence along the northern boundary of the Wairoa
County to the place of commencement: excluding the
Borough of Gisborne.
Waikohu County.
All that area in the Hawke’s Bay and Auckland Land
Districts bounded towards the north-east by Waiapu County
from the eastern boundary of Opotiki County to the western
boundary of Cook County hereinbefore described; thence
again towards the north-east and towards the east and south
generally by the said Cook County to Opotiki County; and
thence towards the south-west and north-west generally by
Opotiki County to the place of commencement.

Authorising Temporary Employment of certain Persons in
Post and Telegraph Department for not exceeding Three
Years.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
third day of August, 1909.
Present :
THE HONOURABLE J. A. MILLAR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection two of section sixteen of
“ The Public Service Classification and Super-
annuation Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “ the said Act ”),
it is provided that the Governor may by Order in Council,
in any case in which he considers that the public interest so
requires, authorise the temporary employment of any person
or class of persons for a longer period than is permitted by
subsection one of section sixteen of the said Act :
And whereas in the opinion of the Governor it is expedient
that in respect of the hereinafter-mentioned classes of per-
sons employed in the Post and Telegraph Department the
period of temporary employment should be extended from
six months to three years :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorise the
temporary employment in the Post and Telegraph Depart-
ment of the classes of persons mentioned in the Schedule
hereto, when such persons are temporarily employed in the
Department, for three years in lieu of six months.

trol Act, 1908.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
third day of August, 1909.

THE HONOURABLE J. A. MILLAR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the several reserves and domains specified
in the Schedule hereto have been brought under the
provisions of “ The Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act,
1908 ”: And whereas it is expedient to make the regula-
tions hereinafter set forth in relation to the management of
the said reserves and domains :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers conferred by “ The Tourist and Health Resorts Con-
trol Act, 1908,” and “ The Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
make the following regulations respecting the said reserves
and domains, namely :—
REGULATIONS.

No person shall without the written permission of the
Minister for the time being having the administration of
“ The Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908,” or of
the General Manager of the Department of Tourist and
Health Resorts, carry or use any gun, rifle, or firearm, or
use any net, engine, instrument, or device, or use any dog,
for the capture or destruction of any bird or animal, or take
or attempt to take the eggs or young of any bird, in any of
the said reserves or domains respectively. -
Any person acting in breach of or contrary to the pro-
visions of the foregoing regulation shall upon conviction be
liable to a fine not exceeding twenty pounds.

SCHEDULE.
Little Barrier Island.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
6,960 acres, more or less, being the Hauturu or Little
Barrier Island, situated in the Little Barrier Survey Dis-
trict, and bounded on all sides by the sea; as the same is
delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57182/9A, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.
Piha Domain.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, being part of
Section No. 39 of the Parish of Karangahape, containing by
admeasurement 146 acres and 20 perches, more or less.
Bounded towards the east generally by a public road, by the
crossing of the said road, by other part of Section No. 39 of
the Parish of Karangahape, by a public road, by the crossing
of a road, and by a public road; towards the south generally
by a public road; towards the south-west by north-east por-
tion of Section No. 40 of the Parish of Karangahape; and
towards the north-west generally by a public road, and by
