GRAYS HARBOUR. — WHITCOMB FLATS. — BUOY ESTA-
BLISHED.—On 30th April, 1909, Whitcomb Flats buoy 2B, a
first-class nun, was established in 55 ft. of water off the
south-western point of Whitcomb Flats, Grays Harbour,
Washington, on the following bearings:—
Neds Rock, N. 39° E.
Grays Harbour light, S. 14° 30′ W.
Point Brown, lone tree, N. 29° 10′ W.

SAN JUAN CHANNEL. — SALMON BANK BUOY NO. 1.—
CORRECTED POSITION. — On 12th April, 1909, the first-
class iron spar buoy No. 1, marking Salmon Bank, southern
entrance to San Juan Channel, Washington, was found to
be located on the following bearings:—
Cattle Point light, N. 27° E.
Smith Island light, S. 38° 30′ E.
Discovery Island light (Canadian), S. 88° 15′ W.

HARBOUR. — COLOUR OF RANGE LIGHTS. — Referring to
Notice to Mariners No. 22 (1135) of 1909, the German
Government has given further notice that the colours of
the range lights in Friedrich Wilhelm Harbour, north coast
of New Guinea, have not been changed, the lights remaining
as heretofore—fixed red on the south-eastern point of Beliao
Island, fixed white on Schering Point.

was permanently discontinued.

JUAN DE FUCA STRAIT APPROACH. — SWIFTSURE BANK. —
GAS, WHISTLE, AND BELL BUOY WITHDRAWN. — The Canadian
Government has given notice that the combined gas, whistle,
and bell buoy heretofore moored on Swiftsure Bank, ap-
proach to Juan de Fuca Strait, British Columbia, has been
permanently withdrawn.

VANCOUVER ISLAND. — STUART STRAIT. — BOAT HARBOUR. —
UNCHARTED ROCK. — BUOY ESTABLISHED. — The Canadian
Government has given notice that an uncharted rock, with
a least depth of 9 ft., on which a red barrel buoy has been
temporarily established, lies in the middle of the entrance to
Boat Harbour, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, on the
following bearings:—
Northern entrance point, N. 32° 10′ W., distant 280 yards.
North-western point of island, S. 61° 50′ W., distant 400
yards.
A gradually shoaling ridge connects this rock with the
northern entrance point, easily recognised by a conspicuous
barn and other farm buildings.
Approx. position on H.O. Chart No. 1815: Lat. 49° 06′ 15″
N., long. 123° 47′ 00″ W.

Notice to Mariners No. 61 of 1909.

LIGHT ON TUAHINE POINT, POVERTY BAY.

Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 9th August, 1909.

WITH reference to Notice to Mariners No. 49 of 1909,
issued by this Department on the 3rd July last,

notice is hereby given that on and after Monday, the 16th
August, 1909, a light will be exhibited from the lighthouse
which has been erected on Tuahine Point, Poverty Bay, on
the east coast of the North Island.

The light, which is shown from an iron lighthouse painted
white, at an elevation of 138 ft. above high water, will be a
white occulting light, flash 2 seconds, eclipse 6 seconds,
burning acetylene gas, and will be unwatched, and will burn
continuously without attention for about forty days.

It should be seen from seaward (except when obscured by
the land) over an arc of 250° between the bearings of about
S. 37° W. and S. 73° E. round by north, and should be visible
for a distance of eighteen miles.

Assembly of New Zealand passed in the eighth year
of the reign of His Majesty King Edward VII. and in-
tituled “The Marriage Act, 1908,” the following names of
Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are
published for general information:—

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Public Trust Office
Act, 1908” (Part II, Unclaimed Lands).

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing
40 acres, more or less, being eastern portion of Allot-
ment 86, in the Parish of Maungataniwha, in the Provincial
District of Auckland. Bounded on the north by Allot-
ments 89 and 90, 1100 links; on the east by Allotment 85,
3620 links; on the south and south-west by a road, 567
links and 690 links; and on the west by other portion of
Allotment 86, 3400 links. The land was Crown-granted
to Edward Hubbard, described as of Auckland, bush-
contractor, who cannot now be traced.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted in-
quiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the
owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and
believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the
Dominion:

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, with-
in six months of the date of the publication of this notice
in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the
Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this
notice; and if such owner does or owners do not, within
the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public
Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to
him in and by “The Public Trust Office Act, 1908.”

William Alexander Sim, Esquire, a Judge of the Su-
preme Court of New Zealand, at Auckland, made on the
seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and
