Special Order made by the Council of the County of Waimate West.

THE following special order, made by the Waimate West County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WAIMATE WEST COUNTY COUNCIL.
AT a special meeting of the Waimate West County Council held on the 15th December, 1908, it was proposed by T. A. Bridge, seconded by T. McPhillips, and carried,—
That the prayer of the petition of the ratepayers of the Auroa Road (South) be granted, and the Waimate West County Council hereby authorises the raising of a loan of £1,360 for the purpose of metalling the unmetalled portion of the Auroa Road (South), within the Southern Subdivision of the Waimate Riding of the Waimate West County.
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and its amendments, the Waimate West County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,360, authorised to be raised by the Waimate West County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of metalling the unmetalled portion of the Auroa Road (South), the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅞d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Auroa Road (South) Special-rating District, comprising Sections 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 51, 53, 55, 56, 57, 59, 61, 62, parts 63, 64, Block I; parts of 40, 41, 48, 49, 50, 58, 60, 61, 62, 83, 84, parts 85, Block V, Waimate Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid is to be at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum. The cost of raising the loan is to be paid out of the loan.
I, George Dawson, Clerk to the Waimate West County Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was passed by the Waimate West County Council at a special meeting held on the 15th day of December, 1908, and confirmed at a special meeting of above Council held on the 14th day of January, 1909.

THE following special order, made by the Leamington Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

LEAMINGTON TOWN DISTRICT.
Special Order for raising Bridge Loan.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Leamington Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of paying the Leamington Town District Board’s proportion of the loan raised by the Pukekura Road Board and other liabilities lawfully incurred in connection with the Cambridge High-level Bridge, the said Leamington Town Board hereby authorise the raising of a special loan of £450 for the above-mentioned purpose; and that, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the aforesaid loan, the said Leamington Town District Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Town District of Leamington, being situate in Block IX, Cambridge Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 4 per cent. per annum, and the cost of raising such loan and the first year’s interest thereon shall be paid out of the loan. The said loan is for two successive years’ expenditure.
